Haha. Do exactly the same here with the BA 22oz bottles. Sometimes I even pour the full 5oz

Hmm. I'm going to have to look into polygamy for bombers...

Maybe I drink too much, but personally, I prefer the 4 pack of 16oz to 6 pack of 12oz, even for a higher ABV beer. I can't argue against 12oz, it makes sense for multiple reasons (cost, ABV intake, etc.). But for some reason, in my opinion, 16oz is just a perfect-sized vessel. But that's just me.

I feel the same way. Last night I had a can of Coffee Eugene & 12 oz just seemed a little short, would have enjoyed that extra 4 oz

I went for the Citra in cans, but you guys, this Smoked Helles is faaaaaantastic. The malt shines and the smoke presence is perfect. Lingers on the aftertaste, a really perfect fall beer.

I'll give the Citra a try later tonight, hopefully it lives up to my memory. One of my favorite Pipeworks beers.

Selling for $14 on the Helles and $20 Citra (tax inclusive).

Yeah let us know on Citra. I was surprised they removed the ninja face from the cans. I wonder if it’s an extension of why they changed the name.

So hopefully AB Jones Dog is next week and not the week after since that weekend is insanely packed as it is

Was wondering about the prices, nice to see the bomber to can price of Citra has dropped from $.49/oz to $.31/oz. That's a deal in my book & I'll see some of you tomorrow at the Dojo

Citra is exactly as I remember. Ridiculous aroma. Huge citrus, tropical fruit. A punch you in the face beer in the best kind of way.

This seems to be consensus. Most know logically that 12oz is best for most beer. But for some reason people are drawn to 16oz format. Maybe it’s the bigger can with more room for artwork. I can’t figure it out

I don’t think it’s that significant. Let’s just agree that 16 ounces is better than 22 or 25

No. I agree. Observations aren’t necessarily significant.

I will say I don’t Navajo because of the format. I probably won’t buy Citra ninja either. But I’m in the minority I’m sure

Citra cans was worth my drive today. As good as I remember maybe even more dialed in. I think Pdubs first DIPA in cans since Ninja?

Yeah Citra is pretty great. $20 is more than i thought it would be ( i was thinking $17) but i prob will get another 4 pack.

Also i can care less anymore about then offering growlers since you can choose from 19 different 4 packs

Had another good trip to the Dojo today. Swapped out 3 bottles of Murderous for 3 bottles of BA Abduction. I had picked up a single bottle the last time to the Dojo & was impressed with it. The fact that it’s lasted almost a year at the Dojo says something about the pasty stout craze to me. I’m veering away from them & this definitely is a top of the line BA, non adjunct stout & has been a sleeper at the dojo (just like As You Wish tbh).

Also grabbed Citra, Smoked Helles & Out of Line. I had seen Out of Line in disto & passed on it, but tried a sample, really liked it & picked up a 4 pack. The sample of Smoked Helles was really nice if you are into smoked beers. As others have said the can of Citra I had tonight was on point to what I remember.

A few cool points of conversation from my time in the dojo: they said they know IPA bombers aren’t selling & that’s why they moved the single hop series to cans. I asked if we can expect the fish series in cans too & they said they would have said never, but they would have said the same thing for the ninja/single hop series, so you never know. Also heard that the 2nd location brewpub likely won’t open until 2020 given the extensive renovations, etc. that they are doing to the space. As they say, masterpieces take time....
