Kane is like 10 mins from the Asbury Park boardwalk - that’s always fun. At Kane you’re basically at the shore so lots of good stuff to do nearby.

Well, when I went, as per usual - I went to the lot and had to wait as 2 people were doing a trade and one jackass had their car stopped in the middle, with the door open so I couldn't go around them. I gave it a minute before I got irrated but then a person was backing out so I was able to park in the lot.

No line when I went right before closing tonight. Had a chance at the last bottle of Fallen Saints but I passed on it for the guy in line behind me. Grabbed a Cortijo but it seemed like they were down to their last few.

Also, for the SB they gave a reusable 6 bottle bag which is nice since ANTEAD was in papers.

Side note: Sunday brunch is quite delicious.

The bag was a nice touch that I’m surprised nobody mentioned. Didn’t realize I was getting it until I picked up the allotment at around 6:30pm.

Yup, there was no line all afternoon. People who got allotments of 3 bottles get a branded 4 bottle tote bag. People who got 6 bottles get an unbranded 6 bottle tote bag.

I’ve gotten that bag before from Kane. I think it was the BA morning/evening bell release.

Yeah they did a branded black bag for that release.

I think they did a red one last year, maybe for SB or MB

I think they did it for both.

I still have my bag from the second SB release or first MB one who knows but it was a few years back. Use it every time I go anywhere for my small growlers or bottles I buy. Nice quality bag and it can hold a lot of weight.

Hanging out with a Bourbon Barrel CP w Vanilla now. Semi chill taproom but pour line is just before the first picnic table. Sunday Brunch pickup line was very long just after open but has died down now to about 15 at the moment. Pickup is inside for now.

It was yesterday afternoon but for some reason they moved it inside the main taproom (to the side of the bar) this morning.

They ran out of tote bags for SB at 4:40.

The overhead cans I bought are one month old.

BBA Christian Patrick with vanilla was really good.

I was surprised that my Wind Swell cans were dated 9/22.

Has the same date on my Overhead cans. Slight surprise, but they still tasted fine.

Seems like they were short staffed today. Got there around 430 to pick up my bottles. It seemed like there was a bunch of dirty glasses everywhere and an empty frig. I got the last cortijo, which is cool. Wanted a flight but was told no.

You must have been in front of me in line for pours. Agreed on being short staffed but I never had to wait more than ten minutes for anything. It’s a very long weekend for them. I got a couple bottles of driftwood but there’s a chance they’re out of it—really hard to tell what was actually sold out versus what simply wasn’t being moved out of the cold storage.

@glennl first time poster here, but longtime forum visitor. Do you know if any other bottles besides mexican brunch last year have had a gushing issue? I opened a Fall Saints bottle yesterday, that was either from last years release or possibly the year before. And once I opened one side with my bottle opener it immediately gushed out from the small opening & continuously did so.

I got my counter cleaned up as it was gushing out onto the paper towels. And once I got the cap off & poured it into a glass, it stopped the gushing, but left the bottle with half beer, half foam.

So just curious if this is an abnormal issue with this particular bottle or if it is possible with other bottles as well? And if there is a best way to open it to prevent this? I didn't get the mexican brunch release last year, but heard of the issue & do have 1 from a trade sitting in my fridge, that I was hoping to crack open this month.

This particular Fall Saints bottle was not shipped & has been in the fridge since the day I received it.
