Good deal thanks. I have never attended a release at half Acre, so I was just curious. I am none the wiser. Do they usually make enough benthic that bottles will last for a day or is this a beer that will be gone that day of the release?

Benthic will be gone day of. Probably within hours of open.

Good to know. Is it frequently a long line at open for the
    Benthic release?

Yes. Last year complete with gran-mules and snow, IIRC.

I got there about 90 minutes early last year and was around the corner on Cullom but not past the alley.

When did bottles last until last year? I won't get there until about 1030 or so...

So if I'm there by 1030 or 11 I should end up with bottles?

Good to know I won't be taking the half day of work for nothing. Haven't done the Benthic release before. Just know it goes pretty quick.

Last year I strolled in there about 2:30pm no line, no wait. My friend that got to the release 90 min early during the mini snow storm was super jealous when he heard about the different experience we both had haha

I hit the taproom last year at open to have a couple pours, line was very short after I was done. Picked up bottles and as stated above, they lasted until after 3.

While I certainly hope this year's Benthic release goes as easily as last year's, look at how crazy the line at Rev was for VSOJ a few weeks ago as an example of how things can change from year to year....

Next Friday is going to be an interesting day. I suspect Rev is going to see the biggest crowd.

As they should, just based on form factor and offerings/event type. I love Benthic (honestly one of my favorite stouts), but it's hard to compete with 4-packs of cans and a release party with a bunch of one-off BA beers.

(with that said I'll more than likely head to HA)

Next Friday is already shaping up to be a work from home day. Benthic - FOBAB - Rev on Saturday. My wallet and liver already hurt.

Win the war, not the battle. You got to pass some of those up and leave them for others.

Yeah, I need to start doing this, also. Which is why I'm skipping the Rev release, and just doing Benthic.

I mean, the winning combo is Half Acre, Bad Apple for lunch, Rev and then a "Fuck FoBAB!" bottle share.

Or is that just my plan!?!?
