Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

Looks like it's going to be ~15-16 for a bomber. Also, the Bruery Bakery looks like it will be going for $8 @ Binny's.

I thought the same thing on my lunch break just now. Bitter Pops had ~15 bottles out, with only one empty spot where a bottle was purchased. I gave a slight chuckle, and passed on it as well.

 

I picked up a bottle as I have 2016/2017 regular and BA in my cellar. Plan to do a vertical someday. The Binnys by me had like 7 cases on the floor.

 

It was just a bit of a letdown for me the last couple years; I used to hype it like it was a BA stout. But at this point I'm not paying $20 for a bomber of a stout that no longer blows me away.

I saw BA Ten Fiddy is out in the nation. Anyone know when we get it here?

Also, of the 2017 Eclipse beers which are hogging shelf space at $30, is there one I should be looking to grab?

 

I've passed twice now. Bought a 2nd bottle of CW Rye Barrel Stout today instead. Probably half the price too.

Heard it should be soon. No exact ETA though.

 

Just buy expedition or Old Rasputin. Chances of any non adjunct RIS being better are slim.

 

Hey, I vastly prefer Darkness to Old Rasputin (although OR is a classic, and I have nothing bad to say about it). Crazy thing though, is that I've never had Expedition.

 

Yeah...that should be remedied ASAP.

I really liked Bells' 30th anniv. stout, so I figure they can make the sort I like.

 

Bottles & Cans had it on the shelf yesterday - I grabbed the last one. I believe it was last year's though, the stamp on the bottom said "Make Mordor Great Again", which I definitely remember.

 

That's fucking awesome; I'd have considered grabbing a can based on that alone.
