Founders CBS - Final 2018 Barrel Aged Series release.

My local bottle shop is waiting till the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to drop this beer, which will be the perfect time to pick it up. One to drink, one to age

 

Wegmans is the way to go IMO. I dont even bother with Premier or Consumers for KBS/CBS.

It's obviously not swill, but does CBS really justify the hype? It's just KBS with a bland, subtle sweetness.. No maple whatsoever.. I've seen this for $27 in places, I mean, get real.. Anyway, to each their own I guess.. Cheers

 

I wouldn't pay that much for either beer. If I see it on draught, I'll give it another go, but I'm not going out of my way for it.

What in the world does KBBS have to do with CBS?

 

Making one of the most ridiculous comments in BA's history: "I, honestly, would rather spend $100 on a bottle of KBBS than $24+ on a bottle of this swill"

Then telling someone to "F!@# off" is bringing a lot to the table.

 

Landed in southwest Missouri today. $26.99/ bottle limit one per person. Wife and I each bought one and drank on tap as well. We were fortunate enough to drink 2014, 2017 and now 2018 on tap. Never disappoints

 

I'm having one of my bottles this weekend. I'm pretty excited to revisit it.

 

Were you at Lewis Brothers Market or Grand Central Discount Beer?

 

Gave in and picked up a pair at Wegmans. Haven't had it before so wanted to be able to try it fresh and maybe age the second bottle, or save it for a snow day.

 

I remember a time when people were begging for more cbs.. Now its a so called shelf turd... The problem isnt with cbs as its delicious today as its ever been, the problem is with consumers lack of loyalty

 

My local guy has a good supply, not sure I am going to get any, still have a bottle from last year, looks like it is not going to move that fast anyway.

 

What are people’s thoughts on the comparison of this year’s CBS vs last year’s. I thought last year’s was pretty good but could’ve been better. I bought one bottle of this year’s and still have a bottle from last year tucked away. I’m wondering how people think this compares to last year’s CBS when it was fresh. Extra maple? More chocolate coffee? Less maple? The same? Thoughts?

 

My local received 11 cases and they have a LOT left at $25.99/750ML. I picked up a couple, one for me, one for a buddy. I had the 2017 iteration and loved it, really looking forward to trying this year's at Christmas with my son.

 

Costco in my area has it for 20 dollars a bottle. My bil texted me lat nite, but i Still won't do it, despise the format.
