Is this a cash only event, or can bottles and food be purchased on the ol’ credit card? Didn’t see anything posted here, or on the GI page.

All info is at the FAQ page on the Prop Day site. And yes on both cash and cred.

Awesome, thanks! Somehow I overlooked the 4 sub-headlines at the bottom of the page.

This will be my first year doing this... do you have to get there at noon? Will shit run out? Thank you for answering all of my hard hitting questions

Last year it took about 3 or 4 hours for Prop to kick, I believe, but that was the only thing that ran out before I left(from all of the 2017 beers), other than the vintage barrels that they were rotating in and out. At least I'm pretty sure it was Prop. Kicked maybe an hour, or less, before I left.

I'd definitely get there at noon and make the most of the day. No reason not to, IMO.

Did the surprise/vintage options cost a token? How anal were they about collecting your tokens?

Yeah, they did. And they collected on pretty much every pour. Me and my buddy got lucky, numerous people gave us their pour tokens as they were leaving. I think we both ended up with 11 or 12 pours apiece at the end of the day.

As an additional item to potentially look out for - I saw random Goose employees just leaving tokens around the grounds last year. One of them stacked about 5-6 on the edge of a garbage can right next to me and walked away. Between that and the guy with the keg on his back (who didn’t take tokens), I know I was feeling quite well upon leaving last year.

What doesn't kill wards off the chill. 30-40 degrees and cloudy.

Be ready to be huddled around fire barrels trying to warm up your pours.

It's exactly what we were all doing last year. Still had a great time, though.

Is it completely outdoors? Do I need my parka?

It's 90% outdoors. You can get inside to get pours in the barrel house, but that's basically a 3 sided building with a wide open front, and was mostly for people lined up, so it was crowded. Lots of people standing around fire barrels. I'd say yes to the parka. Last year I think our weather was about the same(35-40 degrees and cloudy) and I wore a hoodie, as well as my winter ski jacket, gloves, and a winter hat.

Gathering around Prop 16 barrels goes without saying.

Any Prop Day veterans have feedback on if we’ll be able to get bottles before our designated group? I’m 3:00-4:00, but have a long drive to get home.

Don't think you can grab them before. Maybe they'll make an exception? Hard to say, though. I think we were C or D last year, and just grabbed ours as we were heading out the door, but we stayed for the entire fest, basically.

I don't remember there being much of a line at any point for bottle pick-up. That being said, I definitely heard about people going in at times other than their designated slot, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Maybe try going toward the later end of one of the earlier groups? I think they checked our group, but we were group A and went in almost right away.

I hope you're bringing a DD. I can't imagine a worse idea than an interstate road trip immediately after a multi hour beer fest of 14% stouts
