DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2018)

Probably should have noted the CBS was not out on the usual wooden beer endcap. It was (and probably still is) boxed up on an upper shelf a few feet down the aisle from that, and I had to ask to get some. I only knew it was there because I called to inquire after seeing Facebook photos of it at the Leesburg and Chantilly Costcos. Happy hunting!

I actually stopped by there again after work yesterday - low & behold there it was! Picked up a bottle to pair with my 2018 KBS, thinking I might crack them side by side. Cheers!

 

For the MD and DC crowd that doesnt see much Cigar City, Downtown Crown in MD has a fair amount of Marshall Zhukovs left, 19$.

 

Is this even making it to VA/DC/MD?

Hey all, best beer store for 4s/6s and ideally singles near Chaps Pit Beef in Baltimore, or on the way from the inner harbor via car? Figured I couldn't come down here without checking out Chaps, needs some beers for the crew to go with. TIA.

 

Your only decent option is Bo Brooks Lighthouse Liquors on Boston St. in Canton. You could also stop at Diamondback Brewing, which is on the west side of the inner harbor in a neighborhood called Locust Point.

If you're going to be doing this tomorrow, Saturday the 17th, then you're in luck because RAR brewing (based out of Cambridge on the eastern shore of MD) is doing a can release at Max's Taphouse in Fells Point starting at 11am. You can find info on their instagram. Typing that just made me realize Max's has the best selection of singles in the city, however its a bar so you'll be paying bar prices on the to-go stuff.

Will likely swing by Bo Brooks and would definitely do so if I was on my own but that might be testing the patience of my non beer crazed companions a bit...

 

50 cases of each beer, with 2 known and popular beers.... i haven't seen limits for it yet, but would guess they are out by early afternoon.

 

I was secretly hoping DC could go the whole of November without mentioning this beer, but alas, fail.

Looked for it last night at the new TJ on Florida, but I didn't see it. Anyone have the scoop on their shipment (because why would you buy it anywhere else when it's $2-3+ cheaper there)?
