Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

Bells BA expedition Stout just landed at Iron & Glass. One bottle per person. They have 18 bottles left (they received one case)

 

Just got back from Bonny's Grand. In stock now:

Marshal Zhukov (1 case, $16.99)
Pollyanna Toasted Marshmallow (limit 2 pp)
Dino S'mores (limit 1 4 pack pp)

No Bell's BA Expo yet but they said they are expecting it in their shipment today which arrives around 3-4pm. Didn't know how much they're getting.

 

Didn't help to see any Surly Darkness by any chance?

 

I didn't see it but it I wasn't looking for it either. I'd give them a call. They're always very helpful when I call.

Interesting on the BA Expo...the guy I talked to this morning said their distributor doesn't have it yet and they don't expect it until next Thursday. You gotta love the different messages being delivered. Anyone else have a third story to tell?

Wait, you're talking about Bonny's. I was talking about Binny's, my bad.

 

If being serious, my local Binny's got it in today. Different Binny's use different distributors, which will be on different schedules for things.

Out of the 3 Binny's I always frequent, it's very rare for all three to get something at the same time. I'm usually finding it at one, then finding it at another a week later.

 

Which Binnys?

 

I was talking about the same Binny's he was...Binny's Grand. I realize I didn't mention that and it was implied in my head...which apparently doesn't help anyone else but me.

Point was, same store, same question, 2 completely different stories. I suppose that shouldn't be that surprising anymore either.

 

The kicker would be if it's "same store, same question, same person, two different stories...

 

With Binny's Grand, anything is possible. I've always had pretty good luck with talking to the folks there, but there are plenty of people that have told stories otherwise.

 

Binnys Bolingbrook has it. 2 PP, $7.99 each. They got 2 cases.

 

My info about Bolingbrook from my guy there was spot on, then. Good to know I can trust his info.

I expect it'll sell out pretty quick.

 

My “Make Mordor Great Again” can was definitely from 2016 cause I remember it giving me a laugh (and a chill) because it was during election season.

Throw in the possibility of something special at More (they did Double Rainbow the Friday of Fobab last year). I’m sure that’s not everything but stout season is entering full swing for sure

11/11 also has Anti-Prop Day. Haven’t heard of that? It’s area bottle shares (ok at least 1 share) of people shut out on Prop Day (with Monday off too!). Henna Swirl, Henna B3, BCBS Reserve 17, and Dovetail Kriek are my planned contributions.

 

Not just Anti-Prop Day but also Prop Day Plus. Some sick ass forumite (I would never name names, would I @4lokogod?) has proposed a bottle share after that.

Either way, I truly appreciate the shout out by @Jaycase and I wish the best for everyone’s livers.
