So, I've been reading this thread (and participating) and obviously there's high praise for this beer.

I decided to look up its rating...3.95. Kind of disappointing it's under a 4 now.

Then I looked at the "Top American IPA" list. Thinking it might be on that list because of the reorganizing of beer styles.

There's A LOT of New England IPAs still on that list. Like, several Trillium beers for example, Substance from Bissell Brothers, Grimm Enigma...etc.

Two Hearted is last on the list, and I think that one still fits...but many of the others...damn. Can we get this list updated?

Ah, good catch. When I searched for it it automatically took to me "Barrel-aged Celebration".

Still wouldn't get it into the top 100 for American IPA, so the rest still applies.

Good to see it's still over a 4 rating though.

Just picked up a six pack. Love having one during the Thanksgiving parade, makes the season feel like its starting.

I have yet to see this on my local shelves. Keep hoping it will pop up anytime now. I buy the stuff by the case

Well seeing Celebration on the shelves was a much welcome surprise for me this weekend, considering my local distributor didn't even carry it last year.

A master brew, it remains. Well done SN

I have always looked forward to Celebration and will pick up 2 or 3 six packs through the holiday season. For those that compare it to SN Pale Ale that's OK with me. Both are very solid and enjoyable despite being around for a very long time which is a testament to how good they really are.

Well I went and picked up a sixer because of this thread and damn I’m glad I did! Its much better than I remember, I wish the abv was a notch lower but I’m looking forward to drinking plenty of these this year.

How many other nationally distributed beers by a brewery of Sierra Nevada's size gets its own release thread every year?

Especially one that's not hard to acquire.

I honestly can't think of many...I guess Lagunitas Born Yesterday recently?

Boy, reading reviews there is so much confusion about Celebration and its label as a “Fresh Hop IPA”. Celebration is NOT a wet hop IPA.

It just arrived in South Florida and I picked up a 12 pack today for $17. 6 packs are almost $10. Tastes great, love the malty/hoppy goodness. Will go through many a 12 pack.
Has anyone had old (5 months or more) Celebration? I find it to be excellent, hops drop off but still very good.

Publix has SN 12 packs for 14.49 this week. Celebration included, if the distributors put it out. Two 12's is all my local Publix received. Publix is good about 30 day rain checks.
I drink this stuff well into spring. Maybe not as good as day one, but still darn good.

Grabbed a six pack tonight. Just over a month old. It’s really good and I drank them from the bottle. This is the beer I remember from many years ago. I will be grabbing a few 12 packs on and a few more for thanksgiving.

    Enjoy

Hard for me to think of one as well.

And in a time where barley wine has become harder and harder to find, Bigfoot still holds on as a great American take on the style. Little chatter on that one.

Some things--Celebration/Bigfoot-- need no "improvement" IMO.

Ha, does driving to Deleware to get fresh cheaper beer count as bootlegging? There is a legal limit I believe.

Ive had it with a couple years on it. Tasted like an aged Bigfoot Light. Good stuff, although I prefer Celebration fresh.

    Dude, sweet light!

Well, they have barrel aged both in the past, and blended them at one point. But you’re right, no need to add fruit, lactose, or double dry hop these beers.

Not sure. That picture was pulled from their twitter. Seems the 3L bottles won't be available for purchase until beginning of December, however.
