You're not talking about the flagship beers are you? That wouldn't make any sense. So classic Seasonals and Specialties?

One I would consider a specialty. One is a former flagship. One is a regular on tap at the pub but hasn't seen a bottle release since winter years and years ago. The last has Scott on the label.

Mosa is a great way to start and end the day. Slurm Lord fills in the gaps...

So many options. The only one I can say for sure is Magician. I want to say Village Reserve for regular on tap. I hope the specialty is Evil Urges.

Sounds like I left before you got there. How did you like Gin Sunrise? I loved it and its a must try for Melt My Brain fans. Yoda's blend is my favorite of the hoppy holidays pack, kind of Good Humans'ish.

I should have asked Joe some better questions haha. I got selfish and had to find out the fate of my favorite beer and then got on the subject of Japan Craft beer. Anyways I had a blast and all the Short's guys were great and hope to see them down here again soon.

Yeah, we didn't end up being able to get there until almost 6:30, and stood near the bar for an hour drinking and waiting for a seat.
I was surprised to find out Gin Sunrise was a wheat ale. It had a sour-ish tang that wasn't entirely off-putting but it was different than what I expected. If I'm being honest, Gin and Tequila barrel ales aren't my favorites. I love MMB, but I don't know if I'd like the Gin barrel version. Bourbon Mango was all I wanted and more. Smooth, sweet, and really tasted like fleshy mango.

Joe came over and talked to us for a good half hour. It's funny you mention Yoda’s Blend being Good Humansish because he brought your comment up when I asked him what the hell is in "Yoda’s Blend."

Good news on Evil Urges. That's one of my favorites so I asked about it. It's going to make an appearance in a variety pack next year. Short's will be revamping their variety packs to include more experimental and "legendary tier" beers. They're working out pricing, since the brews will be more expensive to produce.

Hey, hey! NEW PRIVATE STACHE BEER UP!

Errybody loves Bourbon Carrot Cake so. I expect this one to go fast. For any newbies to Short's Brewing this one is a great place to start.

Same rules apply as any other Private Stache release: pub/S-Mart only and in stock until their gone.

Any sightings of the Hoppy Holidays pack in Ohio? Hoping to pick one if I can find it.

Just curious on the Private Stache releases...what is the limit? Can you buy as much as you want?

Purely for my interest as I'm never really up there.

From what I've seen, it depends. Usually they'll specify "no limit" or "2 per customer" on the announcement. If I remember right, the only one that had a limit (outside of Private Stache releases for the Anni Party or Short's fest) was Island Chomper way back when.
Just coincidentally, I was up there yesterday for a day trip and got 2 bottles of Bourbon Evil Urges and one of See Ya Never, and there were no limits on those.

The link below shows where they've distributed so far. This is what I used when I went up to Indiana this past weekend, and both stores just outside of Louisville did in fact have them.

Not in Ohio, but did spot it in Illinois at Meijer for $26.99 or $27.99, I believe. Doubt that helps you, though.

Also, I figured I'd put this up since it's been a while since Super Hoppy Holidays launched....

    (SPOILERS BELOW)

So, the reason why Yoda's Blend is billed as a never-to-be-repeated hop blend and why it tastes so unique is because

    (LAST CHANCE)

Yoda's Blend is combination of the other 5 Super Hoppy Holidays brews in different proportions.

I told my wife the other day, while drinking a Yoda's Blend, that I bet it's a blend of the other 5 beers in the pack! Apparently I was right!

After this post and drinking another Yoda’s this clarifies a lot. Roasted malt from Bodacious stands out clearly. I’m excited by the creativity/risk of this beer and also bummed out as I could see this being a great winter hoppy offering I’d gladly buy if offered........

Not sure if anyone else has had it this year yet, but Exterior Illumination is delicious and well worth the entire six pack.
