Ha. You all have your heads on straight. It's a controversial declaration off this site though. This thread has also become filled with hate for organisms smaller than an adult human. Had to show a little love for the work of microorganisms.
I had two Oktoberfestbiers before making that post. One was toast flavored and the other was snot flavored. I enjoyed them both. They were an incredible antidote to a very stressful day.

I guess this prompted another controversial opinion out of me:
Everybody knows what is meant when people say 'beer flavored beer'.

If this was already stated, then my bad. I am perfectly fine with average beer. I read a lot of posts how people aren’t blown away by a beer, or its not world class, etc. I like awesome beer like the next person, but if my local brewery makes an ok beer, I’ll drink it. Taste is very subjective, so I may really enjoy a local NE IPA and it’s not in the class of a trillium.

The doctrinaire opinion that kids not be taken to any bar/brewery/eatery combo is just plain stupid. Sorry. I live in a different world than that.......Put in pipe and smoke....

"And another thing: why is everybody so down on the seasonal crepe? Crepes are delicious, they're easy to make, and they lend themselves to lots of seasonal variations. There's nothing like a spiced fall crepe with baked fresh apples. And Christmas? A batch of chocolate espresso crepes layered with raspberry jam and topped with powdered sugar and a sprig of fresh mint -- buonissimo! With Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day coming up soon, you could... wait, what's that?"

    "CREEP. It's seasonal CREEP."

    "Never mind."

Ditto on all your points. I recall a line by Norm, my hero from the TV series CHEERS, "The only thing I want floating in my beer is my liver"

The New England-style IPA is the apex and culmination of the brewer's art. Every brewer should have at least a dozen NEIPA's in their portfolio and even the smallest breweries should have no less than a half-dozen on tap at all times.

I hereby propose that the beer style guidelines should be amended and modernized as follows:

    American IPA
    New England IPA
    New England DIPA
    New England IPA with Oats
    New England Milkshake IPA
New England Adjunct IPA (Other than Oat or Lactose)
    Russian Imperial Stout
    All Other

You're basically suggesting that oats and lactose are different styles of beers. That's pretty much what I'm getting out of this take.

I want more variety of beer options. I'm kind of sick of 75% of craft beer choices being ipas or.double ipas

Breweries shouldn't sell Kombucha. I almost stopped going to the only brewery i can walk too because I saw kombucha on the board. It's all well and good but, keep that shit out of my blue collar bars. Geeze I feel like that dude from blindspotting movie pissed off about a burger joint selling vegan shit

Is a pet peave the same as a controversial opinion? Because I hate how it's hard to find out who sells the beer locally from the brewery webpage for most beers
