still had several Double Dunks at CBC Fort Point today.

 

I wouldn't say that the base beer for Plaid Habit is a barleywine at all.

 

I don't know anything about the base beer, still sounds delicious. My impression is that "imperial brown" is sometimes used in place of BIL, like with Bruery Mash recently.

 

picked up Collective Arts IPA No.7 at Bacon's in Hudson. Citra + Nelson. I think CA is pretty high up on the shelf NEIPA food chain. I'm a lot less excited about NEIPAs lately but this was delicious.

 

Can't go wrong with that hop combo

 

Anyone see Firestone Walker Dark & Stormy around? Saw Fort Point Market got it, but looking some place outside of the seaport...

I think it’s awesome that bells is distributing to New England now.. but I have a major beef: the black note stout they just recently delivered is the 2017 version, packages over a year ago. Why don’t they give us the fresh batch? Seems like a bit of a shaft...

Not a new release or anything but picked up a can of Big Ass Money stout last night after enjoying my first can so much a few months back. After the barcode rang up as not in the system the cashier took and educated guess of $2.50 which was a very fine discount indeed.

 

Not sure how much it was as I got several things and didn’t ask for a receipt. I believe they do same-day holds though, so I’d say call them when the open tomorrow, see if they still have them left, ask the price, and have them hold one until you get there.

 

Crooked Stave Trellis Buster is the best hoppy beer I've had from them yet. Loving the cans. Can't wait to tuck into the Coffee Baltic Porter.

 

Anyone seen Expedition or BA Expedition in central MA yet?

 

went to the store to get some House Lager for sunday session drinking, but they had Von Trapp pilsner so I decided to try that. I couldn't find a date in the store, but when I got home I found it.. best by 8/6/18 . However, it's still pretty damn good.

 

I accidentally the whole six pack. This is good stuff.

Also picked up some Devil's Purse Pollock Rip IPA. Chinook, Apollo, and Warrior hops. Fairly hazy. 7.5%. I actually really liked this but it's a tad on the sweet side. The hop combo is awesome.

 

not sure if this was already covered but I came to this thread ISO Willettized Coffee Stout. A quick google search indicated that the beer will be released in 22oz bottles in December. Pretty bummed to read the change in format. The 6 pks of this beer were incredibly cheap for the quality - Im hoping that the bombers come in at a similar price point per oz.

 

Most have probably already found their bottle of CBS if they were so inclined, but Wegman's in Burlington still had a bunch as of yesterday. Believe they are $23 each; have to ask for them as they have them in the back.

 

That's a bummer; the six packs were such an incredible deal. Also, much better format for a ~12% beer.
