It's been way too long. Any new place a must visit? Gotta hit up Waltzing Kangaroo for the meat pies!!
I like Intersect as far as newer places.. Tap and Handle always has the best list around. Snowbank has some tasty bois. Red Truck is right there too- tons of options- nothing too zany, but all really well executed. Zwei is top notch and Purpose is nearby and definitely worth a stop. Jessup Farm is newer also and they do some great stuff there too. Equinox is the bomb and shouldn’t ever be overlooked.
Thanks a lot! I've been to Zwei and Tap & Handle so I can drive right to them. The others, I'll print driving instructions to them in the morning. Prost!
Just curious - is Coopersmith's still producing the same beers? I love that place and hope it never changes.
They are indeed. And their now-former brewer Mike really improved a lot of processes and procedures before he moved on to Purpose just recently. Same recipes, just much better executed.
I went to Coopersmiths. I enjoyed a Pork Schnitzel with a pint of cask Punjabi and cask Albert Damm Bitter. I'm with you, there's a sense of stability to that place that I love.
I love most of their line-up, with my favorite being Sigda's Green Chili. To me they're like a better version of the Wynkoop. Most places that opened in that era have totally revamped their line-up. I feel like Coopersmith's and the Glenwood Canyon Brewpub are the only places still rocking the same great beers they had 10-15 years ago. I hope they never change...at least as long as their business stays busy.
