When the beer is brewed by real breweries and not hype bois that haven't even opened their myopic pastry factory yet, I love West Coast beer!

Well that devolved quickly.

Every day I see reminders of why I'm glad I barely trade any more. Want to try good beers? Too bad, everyone's focused on gouging each other. Multiple daily posts I see are aimed at trading up on some imaginary secondary values.

If the community really cared about enjoying beer, I'd be more active in trading. But it's just a lost cause. The only way to do it now it seems is to know locals who will hook you up. Otherwise you'll get shafted. I'll keep my Prairie and drink it happily over some sugar water from across the nation.

 

Sounds like you know exactly what I do with my beer at all times lol. Again whos your investigator? And what’s it to you what I do with my beer? As you troll this web thoroughly everyday and gather meaningless information in order to reload your troll ammo I must say you are by far the most obnoxious beer bigot I’ve ever encountered on any social media platform. That's the thing I'm most irritated by. New breweries used to have to earn their place as a well-regarded, highly sought after brewery.

Now it's like the Indie rock phase of beer: the fewer people that know about a brewery, the better it is. The newer or fresher a place is, or better yet, if it's before they've even opened or poured a pint of beer (my favorite hoodie: "I listen to bands that don't exist yet"), then the more worthy of praise it is. And they are somehow successful at hyping this shit up, before hardly anyone, if anyone at all, has tasted any of their beer. People are eager as hell to be among the first to like some new hot fire, just for the social media cred it seems more than anything else.

You used to get new, unknown beers as extras in order to spread the word, which would generate hype over time. Places like 3 Sons and a couple others a few years ago seemed to be anomalies that only temporarily flipped that reality on its head, but now there's Moksa and Three Chiefs making very little beer with people that buy their beer hyping it up and asking for the rest of the world to trust them, "oh, and...give us all your whales while you're at it." No thanks.

All you have to do is make a social media post about how much pastry junk you put in your beer and the hoards will line up overnight and create an instant sensation no one has tasted.

It baffles me that you think you should be entitled to whales as a extra because A. You think it should be that way because it’s a new brewery B. You have no access to it C. You refuse to tarde for the value of what others pay for but not you because you’re special.
