Forager makes Nillerzzz and Nook. Both trade pretty high, though Nook certainly not as high as Nillerzzz. (Not trying to hype the beer I'm holding...just trying to answer your question). Nook has been in the ballpark of VR, maybe even a little higher. My sense was that some of the Kane beers -- especially the anniversary bottles -- were much lower, more like 1/3 of a VR. That's how I came up with the 1 to 3 number. But I'm not sure, which is why I'm looking for feedback.

 

I think it's more likely you could do 1:2+. I've seen Nook fall slightly recently, but it's very delicious.

 

But you are equating ANTEAD with the Anniversary bottles. ANTEAD trades significantly higher than the Anniversary
bottles.
My guess is 1:1 with ANTEAD or 2:1 With the Anniversary set.
Im just basing this on trades I've made with Kane.

 

I don't know the value of the anniversary beers, but they see to be a little bit all over.

Last year, the anniversary beer was seriously sought out it seemed like. I was less in-tune with trade values then, but I feel like it traded quite high (between 1/2 and 3/4 a VR). This year, haven't heard much.

I Suspect that the above poster is right, that 2 is probably closer. However, if you find a Kane local wanting nook, I'd just try to get the conversation starting, and make it apparent that you want to do a trade that includes all 3, and you're willing to add (within reason) to make that happen.

If trades are close, I think most people are pretty open to making them work if the other person actually seems like a nice dude. When you get that person that knows nothing about English grammar, and sends messages like a teen texts, or only seems to want to win...that's when trades break down quick, and there's a lot less give and take.

 

I am pretty sure we can all agree on this.

 

To be honest, if I would’ve tried for KBBS and won, that was my exact intention to trade for 2 BBT. Maybe I’m nicer than some folks though.

 

Just wondering. Would it have been to have one and still have one back to trade? Cuz that's the only way I would've guessed this would happen. Or do you just love BBT and feel like 2 is a better deal than 1 12 oz. of KBBS?

 

Speaking of BBT (and maman) would some combo of double barrel Popinski & Leche boracho ++ get me close?

I don't know anything about mead. Are any of these worth anything in trading value? All Schramms

I believe these are normal shelf ones and not special releases. So they're probably worth their $ value in terms of a trade for other local type things. I've traded for year round Schramms type stuff before with local releases if that helps. Depends what you're ISO.

Thanks. If you don't mind sharing, I'd be curious to see what you've closed some of these Kane bottles for. There's not a whole lot in the Completed Trades thread. Unless I'm mistaken, doesn't ANTEAD (assuming we're talking about the bourbon version) trade for at most about 1/2 a VR?

 

Thanks. It's weird because 1 guy wanted 2 PCC for just the single Peanut Butter Pop, but I found a guy who just wanted to do $4$ for fresh Hazy's and gave me the PB AND the regular pop for some monkish. Is that because Monkish is just harder to come by?

But your first line is right in with what I said 2:1. Two BL for Popinski variant.

Go with whichever trade you feel is best for you. Sometimes you'll find outliers that is in your favor and it's best to take them because it isn't the norm.

 

I know it isn't quite this simple but how much of a VRU is a Sunday Brunch trading for generally? I know this will vary trade to trade a range is fine. I just want to get a basic idea of the ammo I need to get one.

 

ahh ok thanks. So normally IPA can's couldn't land the Pop, but because it was monk it's a different story. I'll have to trade more monk then. It's unfortunately that they only allowed 2 4 packs per person from yesterday's Ghost release.

 

They do that so locals can drink their beer and the majority isn't pawned off on secondary at grossly inflated prices.

 

My statement was not an absolute. Monkish didn't always equate to sought-after stouts. But there are some out there willing to do this. Your mileage may vary.
