No offense intended to the original post, but that article is questionable at best. 2 places listed, Rockwell and Melvin, are not yet open (Rockwell will open soon). Cathedral Square has not brewed in the location listed in roughly 8 years. That is an abandoned location. I question whether the person who wrote the article has even visited some of these places.

Also no offense to OP, but it'd be great if someone's put together a post (updated quarterly) for travel to St. Louis that includes breweries, times, links, bottle shops, notable local restaurants, and other "to dos" in St. Louis much like other forums do.

Also, I understand I am saying "someone," and that person is not me =).

Including Trailhead in that list makes it a joke. Please don't send out of town people to that horrible place!

    I'll second that.

I will probably do this. I have not been a huge contributor at BA for a long time, but I have been more active lately. Give me a few days.

In town for a couple nights, only one free night. Side project or Perennial?

both update their menus daily, so just check and pick one depending on style preference.

I know you didnt ask, but if you want a great burger by Perennial go to Stacked, if you want a great burger by Side Project go to HiPointe.

Narrow Gauge or 2nd Shift is fair to put in that conversation too of "if only one, where should I go".

Regardless of where you go for drinks, I recommend schlafly taproom for food. Every chance I get to, I stop in.

Side Project Cellar for Belgian Beer.
    Schlafly Tap Room for Food.
    Urban Chestnut for German Beer.
    Center Ice Brewery for Hockey.
    Earthbound for a little Funk.
That would be a good day.

I'm in a similar situation in November. Side Project.is the leading choice at the moment.

Any recommendations on bottle shops? Wouldn't mind bringing a few things home with me.

Depending on when in November, you should be able to either try Derivation #10 or B:B:T: and I hope there's not a chance that you fall between those being available :/
As far as bottle shops, I would recommend The Wine and Cheese Place Forsyth and Craft Beer Cellar Clayton (close to The Wine and Cheese Place Forsyth) but also bring home whatever you can from Side Project?

I will second both of OakvilleKGB's recommendations, and add Total Wine to the list. Yes, I know you have Total Wine stores in California, since they are from there, but here they have an entire section of Local and Midwest craft beers that you probably won't find in Cali.

I would check dates thoroughly though as they have a MASSIVE selection and things go unnoticed for long lengths of time.

Wanted to thank everyone for the tips.

Tried a few local beers around town at dinner ( Shadfly, 2nd Shift ) , but reserved an evening for the Side Project Cellar. Definitely a world class brewery with a friendly, comfortable tap room that has great / informed service. Was able to open a bottle of Derivation #10, and tried many others. My favorite was Bataton, but I might be splitting hairs because I had to many excellent pours. Walking away with bottles to go was icing on the cake.
