Any well-made, banana-forward hefeweizen calms me tremendously. It's a sense of place kind of thing that takes me back to the Marienplatz and the Weisses Brauhaus in Munich.

There is truly nothing like a well-made hefeweizen. It's been my favorite style of beer ever since Ayinger Brau-Weisse graced my palate.

A tall can of Köstritzer. It’s always just what I need.

I'm a little late to the party here; after a $#it day-any beer puts me at peace. After a good day-same thing.

For a relaxing comforting beer, l go for the malt.
Recently, that's been Deschutes Jubel Ale and Anchor Christmas Ale. Too bad that they are seasonal

I'll third @EvenMoreJesus on a well brewed hefeweizen, and back up @Alefflicted on Ayinger. But I won't call up memories of München, I remember Ettal in the shadow of the Bayerische Alpen as the most peaceful place on earth I've found so far.

I don't know, but I guess an old reliable beer like Two Hearted or Prima Pils...or a billion others beers that make man happy

Dogfish Head 60 or 90 minute (depends on just how bad the day was). Those beers bring me back to better times when I was in college trying craft beer for the first time.

Anything new. It's no secret that I really like reviewing. At minimum, I try to get across all the notes and nuances within a beer, but on really stressful days, I may pop on a pair of headphones and lose myself in writing a descriptive, tangible review. It helps to really focus on that one beer at that point in time.

Otherwise, specifics, Mother's Winter Grind still has a soft spot in my heart. Similar, winter comforting beer.

Yuengling and Strohs I pickup in Ohio when I travel back to my home state. I'd like to get them in Colorado, but haven't seen Strohs in years and Yuengling doesn't distribute out here (as far as I know).

The Barrier Antagonist bitter in my glass right now has done a better job of this than anything in a long while. This beer is also known as “the crowler can’t already be empty” bitter.
