If you like those dark chocolate oranges they sell around Christmas time, and want to taste that in a BCBS, get Midnight Orange cuz that's exactly what it's like. And I won't be hunting for it cuz I hate those chocolate oranges, so there'll be more out there for you.

This is exactly why I want Midnight Orange. Those oranges are a Christmas tradition going back to my childhood. But you gotta get the good ones from England - the knockoffs that started showing up everywhere in stores lack richness.

I love eating chocolate oranges. Drinking them is disgusting. Just because it is good to eat doesn't mean it should be in a beer. Now go and enjoy your ribeye steak stout....

I already had my annual rauchbier for 2018. Chased it with a shot of A-1. Yeah, it's that important.

Does anyone know of a place that will be tapping Prop sometime in the near future? That's the only one I haven't tried yet...

It’s being tapped at a bunch of places over the next few days, including GI. It’s been mentioned multiple times in this thread, and if you look at GI’s website or follow one of a handful of craft beer bars/stores, you’ll find it.

All sorts of weird suburbs have places with it on draft Wed/or Fri. so tons of places in Chicago do.

I don't intentionally "cellar" them. What happens is I get some cool ones and want to open them with friends. Then we don't have a share for a little while, maybe we do but we don't get to all of them, next thing you know I've got a two year old ba coffee stout.

    Here's another: Swedish Fish.

And, oddly enough, it was pretty damn good.

    Swedish Fish are disgusting.

But I bet I like the wheatwine anyway.

But seriously, Swedish Fish are disgusting.

I'd probably rather drink a Swedish Fish beer than eat Swedish Fish, so I can see this.

Unintentional aging. This was the main reasoning behind Rev doing 12 ounce cans according to their CFO.

I've had a Swedish Fish beer, it was disgusting. And I actually like Swedish Fish.

I didn't get to try the Wheatwine, but the guy that shared the rest of his allotment with me tried it last night and thought it was trash. The Coffee Barleywine on the other hand was pretty tasty, but a bit too coffee dominant.

I couldn't possibly call a barrel aged barleywine with mocha notes being the worst of this odd bunch, and especially not the worst of the entire history of BC variants. Every year has a pretty standout runt, if not full on disaster. Coffee BW is not it this year, for me.

Do you guys think it will be a crazy line for this before Tony's opens at 7 am? Or arriving just alittle before 7 tomorrow morning should do the trick?
