Kane Brewing (November/December 2018)

To me it seems a little less juicy and more bitter than what I remember. Still good but earlier in this thread I said it was my no. 1 Kane IPA but not so sure I have it there anymore.

 

My cousin said blue hotel was a little green. Goin to give it a few before I open one. I had a Medovik yesterday and thought it was really good. Sweetness from the honey, didn’t get a lot of vanilla but my nose is stuffy so I’ll revisit that

 

Hopefully this means it’s at a local shop for you, like it does for me.

 

One within walking distance of me and one 5 min from my parents. I’m so happy!

 

picked up 10/22 sneakbox and it was definitely different. been drinking it since hop lab citra and this was very disappointing.

 

Having a Quarter Sawn now. A unique beer, but an oddball relative to their other quads for sure.

 

That's what I've been saying. I feel like the recipes for that and Head High have been tweaked.

 

somethings up. especially considering citra hops have been shining in most other breweries beers lately. def not a hop crop issue.

 

I'm hoping it's a 1 off thing, if this is the future of Sneakbox then I'm gonna be very sad.

I can confirm this. I had one day of release and it was astringently bitter, and not in the “oh, this is a delicious hop bomb” kind of way. More like an “oh, I should use this to clean my car’s headlights” kind of way. I’ve been waiting to open another can; will report back tomorrow.

 

Gotta admit this one was difficult to go the distance with. Luckily I had some to share with but the wine barrel paired with the fruity characteristics of the base really became way too intense to my palate over time.

Hop Lab Citra has been my GOAT beer since day 1 and Sneakbox was my wedding beer. My favorite regularly available beer in the world. That said, I agree this last batch tasted off. I only had 2 of the 4 cans so far so just assumed it was me and my taste buds but interesting to see others saying the same thing. I've had A LOT of Sneakbox/Hop Lab Citra so feel qualified in this area lol

 

I don’t know how to link Instagram but holy moly. I hope there is a lot of these beers because this one might draw the masses. I absolutely hate lines and crowds but I may be willing to deal for these.

Parking is going to be an absolute mess. I’m kind of surprised it was announced so early. Do a lot of people still have work though? I think it’s a crapshoot also though as to crowd and how long it lasts.
