For a food spot near SARA, check out Beer Thirty, next exit up Hwy 1 (Bay St). They are partnered with the restaurant next door (Carpo's) and walk next door to the Fish Lady for a great salmon burger.

 

Home in Soquel is a fantastic eatery. Don't sleep on it.

Wow! Westly available to the public today at open at both locations, 1 pp, $30. I had the pleasure of having a bottle of it once, years ago. It was divine. Go get'em!

 

I’m debating right now. Can’t leave Modesto until about 2:00, which gets me there by 5. Would hate to drive 3 hours each way and get shut out.

 

I have a shorter drive than you and I can't justify the drive from the East Bay for just a single bottle, especially since air quality's so bad right now

 

Totally get it. I have to make a trip that way in the next few weeks anyways. Have to pick up some stuff for a couple BIFs. Figure I’ll give it a shot today and hope I get lucky.

 

Don't get me wrong. Totally tempted and still considering it, but leaning towards no.

 

FYI, line’s moving fairly fast at the Capitola location. Not quite sure how many bottles left, but I saw maybe 7 or so cases on a dolly in the back.

 

Got one! Stoked to have a family member that works by the Santa Cruz location.

I had Westly at Cellarmaker's 5th Anniversary concert. It's fine and everything, but I guess I didn't really feel like it's a beer worth going out of my way for. West Ashley is all the apricot-y goodness I need. Ie, Both are good, but WA is easier to get and Westly isn't mindblowingly better.

That being said, my wife thought Westly was the best beer at the Cellarmaker concert. Fpr me, I was surprised at how much I liked Monkish's Triple Dry Hopped 21 and Lewis, when I generally think their beers are overrated. Certainly was better than what Trillium, Other Half and Tired Hands were bringing.

 

I’m kind of relieved to here that they’re gone or close to being gone. I was going to pass through the area today and was debating stopping by. If I do stop by, I’ll just do so later at my convenience and not worry about being shut out, ha.

 

from what friends said, anything left at the capitola location last night will be on-site for today.

Anyone know when Cellar Society typicall does their renewals? I'm on year four for the waiting list and am hopeful that this will finally be the year that I can join.
