How about instead of that since I could probably just copy my old tasting notes we discuss long term issues with Tired Hands. Where do we think they are going to go from here? Is this the size that Jean wants to hold steady at for the time being? Any interest in opening a "farmhouse" brewery that's more of a destination? Anyone know what their size actually is and how many bbls he's producing at this point? Are we going to see some limited distro in the future of packaged goods or just hold strong at the Genny. Any collabs we want to see again or think would be interesting? I listen to dontdrinkbeer's podcast Malt Couture and while most of it is background noise every now and then interesting points get brought up. In the most recent episode they were talking about the current market and the closing of multiple medium size breweries and how that size could be sustained so that we don't have just a bunch of bigger Victory's/Stone's etc and a bunch of 7bbl feeding a hyper local market. It seems to me that Tired Hands as of right now is in a nice middle ground when it comes to that. Their push at every turn to get product directly to consumers without having to go through middle men means that they are selling off of a recurring fan base / word of mouth alone really and that means they don't have to compete for shelf space. Also Tired Hands can you please do some more iterations of this glass here:
Easily my go to glass right now.

Also if you go on that mobile rating site their current highest rated beer is that orange juice they packaged with mango and mosaic lol.
    Anyone have their kombucha?

Not to be annoying, but does anyone know if there is any D2H3 left or if it will last to Saturday?

EDIT: apparently they update their site frequently. that helps.

they did open the biergarden thing... not sure if they'll open a destination spot people will travel too but i'm sure they'll capitalize on an opportunity if one presents itself.. things are still going pretty well for them... maybe not sold out lines every week kind of thing but they still move the product they make at a high price point

After years of discussing pricing etc if it means that Tired Hands is paying its staff right and providing benefits etc then I won't complain about pricing again. Just reading up on the Trillium thread...who knows what the real story is but if it came out that Tired Hands doesn't give a shit about its employees I would stop going (and it seems like they do as I have seen a lot of the same folks there for years now).

I would imagine the employees know the "real story" here. Have you gotten to know any of the Tired Hands employees? Maybe just ask them if they have benefits?

From the Tired Hands website it states:

“Tired Hands Brewing Company is an employee-owned organization with 99 employees company-wide.”

    And:

“We offer competitive wages and benefits to eligible employees, such as paid time off, health insurance, paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, shift meals, and of course a beer at the end of the day. Tired Hands is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly in nontraditional roles.”

I have chats with some over the years, sure. We almost never talk about what it's like to work there and almost always just talk about the beer.

I have gotten to know one of the bartenders pretty well. If I think of it next time I am there I will ask him about the benefits package that Tired Hands offers.

    Cheers!

I'm home visiting my parents in NJ ans thinking of making my first trip to Tired Hands tomorrow. Any idea if tomorrow's release will draw a huge crowd? No shake release so I'm hoping it's not crazy.

It will not. Even the shakes have lasted. Even if you show up for open shouldn't be a crazy line. Show up an hour after opening and probably none.

I don't go to releases anymore, I usually just see what sticks around or makes it to the General Store. Does anyone know if they're canning a lot more in regards to quantity, or does no one simply care anymore? Me personally, it is the latter.

I don't know that it's so much people don't care, just that there is so much good beer out there now and you don't have to travel far/wait in line to get it.

This isn’t intended as a slight to anybody but it seems like what we’ve seen over the last couple months on these Tired Hands threads could make for an interesting article on Herd Mentality in beer. While people were willing to wait in line for the beer it meant that people who would have rather not waited in line had to as well. Judging by the dwindling traffic in this thread (from a random sampling of previous months we seem to be at an all time low for one of these monthly threads) as well as recent comments it seems like the group consensus may now be that the beer is no longer worth waiting in line for.

The rising cost of the beer and increasingly experimental batches that seem to have been judged as duds looks to have cost the brewery their audience over time. Wonder if there is anything the brewery can do at this point to regain the excitement they’ve lost.

Was the Believer's Club Bottle #3 ever released? If so, what were the details on it?

I'm not sure if a lack of activity in the thread is a function of "herd mentality" as much as it is "no longer needing updates/speculation regarding how one might obtain Tired Hands cans and the convo that arises out of those discussions."
