    It’s in Delaware.

Pretty sure the same bottle in Philly hits $40.

    Enjoy

Assuming that we're talking about distribution beers...

    Cbs? No.
    Bcbs? No.
Ba expedition? At roughly a case per county nationwide - yes.

So I should have grabbed the two cases of BA expo I saw? Eight years ago I would have but that’s why I’m hurting now.

    Enjoy

Depends on where you live. BCBS is very limited in mid-Michigan. Regular is limited. Variants are scarce.

Yeah but Decorah is a really good time. You’ve got TG and Pulpit Rock, mabes pizza, and some really great hiking trails. NE Iowa is awesome and there’s a lot more to do than just the TG release.

I think that there are a lot of factors involved in what is considered "limited" these days. Some of them have been mentioned here. I will say that a lot of brews in this category in the past have become more readily available. I've been shocked in recent years. Upped production, numerous choices. It's a beer paradise. I say the local releases that don't get distributed but have a healthy buzz about them would be the best candidates for "limited" in the current climate.

The only people to blame are the ones who are willing to pat that much for it.

I would have gladly gone if I had gotten a ticket, even while gulping at the cost. At that price point you do need to make it more about the fun than the beer because even with the unicorn, that price and having to go there to get only one is beyond ridiculous - but I will still try again next year . But once I have a KBBS, I doubt I'll be compelled to ever go back...

I have never had KBBS yet but like any #1 ranked anything, don't expect it to be exponentially better than the next 5-10 big stouts highly ranked that you may have had, in fact your personally preference may even prefer several better than KBBS. Just my experiences. The rankings provide us a top tier of beers with personal preferences then deciding which ones are better than others.

It sold out at the brewery in ~6 hours for $26 a 4-pack with a one case limit and is currently one of the most desirable recent BBA stouts around at the moment. The place I found it only got one case and was only selling $10 single bottles and they still sold out in a day.

Even if regular BCBS or the varients are more available this year it's still going to eventually be limited. Come January it will probably be impossible to find. It's hard to find a good quality beer as BCBS for the price.. $12 or $13 for regular..I never really get tired of drinking it either. It's not going to sit on the shelf like say CBS. People are going to drink what they get and come back for more.

This really depends on the market. Different beers shelf turd in different places. I have seen tons of people say there is still 2017 BCBS on the shelves are their stores. Also at the price it comes out to around $39 per 4-pack of 12oz bottles and I can think of a lot amazing beers under that price point. At $13/bottle it is slightly cheaper than CBS which people constantly rail on for its pricing.

That's true, people in Georgia may not recognize it as it's easily recognized here in Indiana.

Supply is a problem when a beer that should have been limited to one or two days on the brewery production schedule a year gets allotted four because of an overestimation of sales, and the reality that the market is getting tighter because of so many similar offerings. re: seasonal releases, and barrel aged hootenannies.

I live about two miles from the GI barrel aging facility, and we have plenty of 2017 bcbs on our shelves if you know where to look.

Often wonder how much thought is put into some releases. Often feels like beers are made only because another brewery made one. Also wonder the thought process about how much to brew.

    Enjoy

The nice thing about having 1,000,000 options for beer in 2018 is that even if you miss some OMG limited release there are 500 beers behind it that are just as interesting and taste just as good.

It's difficult to swallow if you're seeking to complete 'lists' here, but it's a very true statement. I'm saving my $25 for CBS in favor of a local stout or two this winter season.
