Are there that many chairs sitting empty? The impression from the Binny's blog post was that they were trying to get a handle on things this year. Allowing people to drop a chair in line while they go elsewhere just encourages people to come earlier then they would likely come otherwise Which could penalize people who come (much) later and actually stand in the line for the duration.

 

How exactly is this fun?

In the video and photos I’ve seen there were a lot more empty chairs than people. Like 4-5x.

 

It’s worth noting they still haven’t announced pricing. I’d love for them to come out tomorrow morning and say that allocations are $700. But that would be a rational response to a supply/demand problem.

 

They replied to someone on Twitter that it’s less than $300

100%. I had everything on tap last night and I think this the weakest lineup in years.

 

Well this just kind of sucks. I had to be out here his week for a funeral and used it as an excuse to stay with family for Thanksgiving and this release. Don’t know the area well enough to go find another event (really want to make sure I get prop and vanilla). No hype train answer, do I really need to get over there by midnight)?

 

Buying a variant for 24.99 is like buying a 22oz bomber for $32.

Sorry for your loss. Honestly the best bet is to monitor this thread and twitter to see what the line is doing. People were in line earlier than ever though. But don’t stress about Vanilla. If you poured 1oz of vanilla extract into a regular it would taste the same or better. (Had it in tap twice so far.)

Haven't ever been to jewel for a release, I did drive past the Aurora (Eola) location last year as I was going to drop off food for Carson's employees and the lines were....pretty large. From what I recall it was after opening though, I feel like I was around there at like 8-9am ish.
