I;m starting to think there's just very little consistency in the releases this year because I got no dark fruit in my regular BCBS. That, plus the orange weirdness...

    Just all over the place.

This. Hand out #'d wristbands as people arrive and it would be great.

Mine tasted like it was aged in wine barrels rather than bourbon barrels. I really liked it tho

My friend has wristband 146. Looks he was off by a few.

Brilliant. Hopefully we get updates at regular intervals and we can know how many people are actually in line. Maybe that stems the FOMO.

Honestly, at this point, if you're not already in line you're not getting the top vintages. Who cares about the difference between 2016 regular and 2017 regular.

I'm number 133 in line and have received wristband already. They have cattle gates set up in parking lot to allow 1000 people in front of store. They are giving out wristbands as each section of line fills up (about 115 people per section). First 60 people get vanilla rye. I'm guessing around 215 people here right now as of 9:15 CST. They've also stated they will notify everyone after the first 1000 they will not have allotments for them.

Are they doing anything to prevent people with a wristband from leaving (and returning later?)

Prop and Bramble are the standouts for me. Prop has the layers of different chocolate, finishing in a bakers chocolate.

Orange was like a candy my grandma would give me. Not the good kind. Aggressive orange flavor.

I endorse this idea (seriously). A prototype (not so seriously)?

No I believe they are doing tickets that will match wristbands around 5am from what was mentioned. So you could leave after receiving wristband.

How long did checking out take last year? I have to be somewhere at 9:30am.

Are you in line? It should be quicker this year given the full allotment requirement. I still wouldn't mess around if you need to be somewhere at 9:30 and get in line earlier than later (even with the 7:00 am opening this year).

This is honestly hard to drink. Good luck to those on the hunt. This years variants are just not my jam.

Give it a year. I didn't think too highly of VR or Prop '14 and now they are two of my favorites.

I remember when AB bought Goose everyone was worried that they'd ruin BCBS. Brew it with rice or whatever the hell.

Turns out their plan was just pricing it into the stratosphere. It's obvious that the price is still lower than it really should be in terms of the insane demand but man, no thanks. I'll take my beer dollars elsewhere.

I think the first year I bought BCBS was 2009 and the 4 packs were like... $13?
