Given that the orange zest and vanilla need to mellow more than evolve, the expectations are reasonable

 

If anyone in the burbs is looking, Lombard Liquors has everything, but is playing the old "buy some other goose island for the ability to buy these".

You only have to buy a case of regular BCS to get a Reserve, it's the deal of the century!

 

Lakeview Binny’s going strong as of 1015am with all but Vanilla, Prop and Reserve... I think, didn’t look all that thoroughly. Grabbed my annual 3 Regulars and continued on with additional errands.

The couple high-fiving out front over their purchase warmed my heart and made my morning. Love is grand.

 

I've been in line for 45 minutes. They say 10 more. This better be worth it

They made a ton of vanillla and bramble. Besides Jewel clowning Binny’s, that’s my biggest takeaway today

 

First time doing the lineup thing. Picked Jewel over Binny's and was happy with how they ran things. Got everything I wanted. Couldn't have been happier. Fiance was a goddam trooper and reminds me how lucky I am that I get to marry her.

 

Probably why vintage coffee was $15 for '17 and $12 for '16 at LP today.

Bloomingdale Binny's was down to Bramble, WW, and reg about 9:30.

I'm so so sleepy, yet I'm afraid to close my eyes. It feels like @Quilentro is watching me even though he's far, far away by now.

 

Vanilla is very meh, probably my least favorite in awhile. Midnight Orange is good, as expected. If you like those sweet filled chocolates you'll like this.

 

I'll scoop up Regular bottles, aka "shelf turds", on the way home from a pour event at Fatpour.

Glad Binny's went well this year for those who attended, perhaps I'll return in 2019 after going the previous four years but skipping this year.

Come on people, see the pattern It's always a shit show followed by a good year. People hear how well it went and then turn our en masse the next year which overwhelms the system. Then people complain about how bad it was so no one turns out the next year making for an easy release. It's an ebb and flow....

 

It's been a very strange day. I did not camp out for BCBS today, nor seek to purchase any BCBS today, or rush out to try any BCBS today and somehow the world hasn't changed at all....has anyone else experienced this weird phenomenon? I thought for sure I would be like Marty McFly in the 1950s and slowy disappear from the photo if I didn't have BCBS this year, but apparently there are no side effects of not trying for BCBS...

To be fair, he sent his mom out to get a full allocation. So he likes her a lot.

 

Vanilla is bad. Bramble is much better. Going to be selling my vanilla

 

I went to Jewel at 9, no line, no limits, everything but Prop and Reserve available..

I was shocked I went thinking I would just get Regular per usual
