Drinking Genesee Cream Ale and Bells Two Hearted. Loving both. Of course one more than the other...

no seriously! Budwesier bought BCBS, and they make it now and Goose Island oversees it and helps the Budweiser people, as far as I understand it. I think the Budwesier trucks deliver the BCBS also.

Picked up a mixed case of Pliny and Blind Pig, super fresh, bottled 11-1-12. Drinking the Pliny now, man its been a month since I've had a Pliny so I am really enjoying this latest release. Also picked up a super fresh new batch of FW Double Jack, that is up next, when that stuff is really fresh its as good as it gets for West Coast DIPA.

    Cheers.......

Everyone else might be drinking this lately but this is truly one of my all-time favorites. It seems like it is one of the more inconsistent Founders barrel-aged brews though. I like how this one tastes compared to last year but it has a lot more oak and dark fruit notes than I am used to. Either way, hooray for Backwoods Bastard!

My absolute favorite thing about this beer might be the mix of the buttery Scotch Ale with the vanilla bourbon barrel notes, delicious!

Felt lazy and took the picture with my phone today. Came out decently I suppose.

Had to get a 4 pack just for the glass! The beers helps too.. haha. Best part is the Etching in the glass makes that constant flow of carbonation in the middle!

While I know that the budweiser trucks deliver BCBS it doesnt mean that Budweiser brews BCBS! it's not like BCBS was triple hopped this year, goose island still does everything...right?

no, ok so Goose Island started as their own brewery and then Budwesier bought them, they make the BCBS as far as I know and Goose Island still exists as a brand like how Kia owns Hyundai. It makes sense really because they made 5 times as much BCBS this year because budweiser sales were down so the people at Bud decided to make more because BCBS is a more profitable beer.

I am not sure about the barrel program but i remember reading something about beechwood barrels but it might be on an old forum.
