That's the plan. I'm going through a phase now where I'm not drinking much if any pastry stouts or hazy IPA's & have a taste for classic/non or minimal adjunct "beer flavored beer" styles.

I don't think I've had a Transient Barleywine, so seeing Chris tease a BBA Barleywine, a sour & a members only sour release on the horizon has me being more selective I guess.

Anyone know if the junies are still available to go? Social media reveals nothing and website to go is a little dated

3pp on both bottles right now. I really like BA No Cake considering that I thought the regular wasn't very good. I'm not feeling Brimley very much though

What were the prices on the neckbeard and variants this past weekend? Specifically the Henry McHenna and Gray Skies.

The bundle pricing at Transient per the members email was $26 for Gray Skies & McKenna, $27 for Blis & $16 for Reg. Not sure how/if unbundled or Beer Cellar pricing may have varied.

It was 100 for the bundle and a tote

I think this is the best year yet. 2018 Neckbeard is very abraxas ish but at a higher ABV and more vanilla

The Henry McKenna is huge barrel. Vanilla is less malt roast than 2017. More chocolate and vanilla driven.

Not cool. I have one sitting in the beer fridge right now. Along with a No Cake. Is there really a 3pp limit on those right now? I was just there less than a month ago, and it was 1pp for No Cake and 2pp for Brimley.

I wouldn't say it is. Had one over the weekend too and it tasted the same as it did on tap. There is a green apple flavor to it, think it just needs a lot of time.

Did they sell out of Sunday’s bottles or are there still some left.

Yes, straight green apple in my bottle. No barrel or anything resembling barleywine.

Have you contacted @TransientArtisanAles about it yet? I haven’t had a bottle or draft pour yet, but Brimley ended up being one of the “members bottles” included in the price of the membership & green apple is not a flavor I’d be expecting in a BA barleywine

I have not contacted them about it. Honestly, I’d be surprised they didn’t know. I’ve actually heard a lot of talk about this infection.

Lot's of people complain about things, but rarely to the people who can do anything about it. I'd suggest contacting them and letting them know. There is so much garbage on the internet I wouldn't be surprised if it was filtered out as typical beer geek noise and the stance was "no one has reached out to us directly so we are going to assume everything is okay until we hear otherwise."

I'd agree with this. It never hurts to bring your concerns to them. I also know they check into these forums occasionally, so tagging @TransientArtisanAles isn't a terrible idea either to see if they're aware, looking into it, etc.

Anyone go to the members party? Would love to hear details.

Also, any other news on infection/Brimley?

I'll just chime in and say that I went to a bottle share where the bottle of Brimley was completely fucked. (green apples as soon as you popped the cap off)

Great time yesterday. That opened up the barrel room for some cellar bottle sales, some special draft and pours. Between the options there and the taproom, great drinks. As always, very relaxed atmosphere, nice to hang out and enjoy yourself. Not Before Eight, Canuckley, and Taweret Apricot were my highlights, but enjoyed everything.
