This is also the case with Other Half but we just found other topics to gripe about instead.

I think it's hype can markets country wide. Production has increased, number of suppliers has increased, everyone realizing that if you didn't have to stand in line then no one has to stand in line.

Trends end. Cabbage Patch kids had people going crazy then they released Premies and then it died out. Tickle Me Elmo came out and then there was DDH Tickle Me Elmo and then Double Fruited DDH Tickle Me Elmo and then what?

Also wallet fatigue. Unless you're working Wall Street you can do Line Lyfe for a year...two years...but at that point you're gonna want to spend your money on something else. The beer prices are too damn high.

I know this goes better in its own thread but since it's all one related topic....is Troon the last of the local breweries that still commands a #LineLyfe strength line?

There is one by my place of business that would also command such things if it wasn't so far out of the way...

Depends on what you mean by local. Hudson Valley's lines are still insane.

I don't know that I'd say it's not worth waiting in line for as much as you just don't need to wait in line for good beer anymore. It's not really a surprise that this happened either. I knew once other breweries started catching on the line life would die down.

Ah yeah, went there for the first time a few weeks ago. Great stuff. Aside from being in the middle of nowhere they also don't can, don't distribute (as far as I know) and have very limited hours.

You can buy beer to go, from their website:

    BEER TO GO

    - 32 oz cans are pre-filled and sold on a first-come basis on Fridays and Saturdays.

    - 16 oz and 32 oz growlers are filled on Thursdays (select beers only).

    - We may stop or limit to-go beer at any time.

    Cheers!

Yeah they more or less run a better Troon model but are able to stay open and then have super limited packaging runs of crowlers. They are in the middle of an expansion though with plans to actually can.

Is it really a better model or a consequence of them not being as popular? I'd hate to see what Troon would be like these days if he gave advanced notice on beers

Yeah that’s all pretty limited though, especially the crowlers. Even getting growler fills I had to use my buddy to get more than one. Glad to hear they are expanding.

It was a joke in reference to OH's threads, where a popular refrain is #otherhalfhateslocals.
