They just posted about “surprise guests” being at the Dojo in addition to their Thank You For Being A Friend beer. That’s likely as official confirmation as it’s going to get pre-release.

My post was more just a way to tag them to possibly reveal whether the "surprise guests" will be of the canine variety and whether it's Friday or Saturday. They've been so awesome on here in the past with giving us a bit of a heads up with that stuff.

Did you try any? Very curious about sundae, and whether the barrel transmogrified the base into magic.

Already semi-busy at 7:30 on a Thursday with no advance notice of the release. It's gonna be a goddamn madhouse this weekend.

For the small samples they gave, my preference was Coconut, AB, Sundae (all three pretty close) then cognac. Not a cognac fan but was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

Neither Sundae or coconut were artificial tasting at all. I wouldn’t say the strawberry was overpowering like most nea beers tend to be. They said they used real coconut but I didn’t ask about the sundae adjuncts.

I tried sundae, nice but not in your face. Not a ton of strawberry, which I was happy about because that always feels artificial to me.

I had coconut on draft at the Marz liquid dreams event. I don't love coconut, but really like when coconut in beers ends up being almost vanilla like, rather than overwhelming. Think more like Benthic, not Last Snow. Typical great barrel flavor from Pipeworks went well with that.
