Hello, you'll be able to use cans of Dovetail Helles as stocking stuffers starting in mid-December. Taproom sales, some distro to start off with. We'll let you know.

    Awesome!!

I remember cans being mentioned a couple months ago, glad to see they're coming out. Any chance the lager will be canned too??

    We currently have:
    • X01: Flanders Rauch (which was named one of Stan Hieronymus' favorites of 2018, wherein I immediate geeked out!)
    • X02: Table Beer (we took our Lager and added 200mL of our Lambic-style beer and put back into barrels for a while ... it's very nice, subtle sour beer with light funk)
    • Kriek: Our Lambic-style beer aged on Michigan Balaton cherries (we're taking a note from Lindeman's and will be serving this spiced and warm on December 18)
    • 12.25.16: This is our newest bottle release -- it was unusually warm a couple of Xmas's ago, so the temperature was right to spontaneously brew a spontaneous beer. We made it "Christmas-y" with the addition of dark Belgian malts, instead of the traditional Pilsner / unmalted wheat bill. This is also currently on draft in the taproom.

We'll be canning Vienna Lager shortly after this run. I'm sure Lager will make its way into cans at some point. (I'm personally petitioning for a summer release of Grodziskie). Thanks, all!

I have been jealous of the folks with Live Oak's distribution for some time, and that was only furthered by their release of their Grodziskie in cans ... so ya know ... Im down with this plan.

Sweet, and thanks for the heads up on 12.25.16 being on tap! I'll probably swing by tonight for a pour. Sounds excellent.

Yes! Vienna Lager is my absolute favorite. I was excited when I heard lager in can, but I piece of me was disappointed it wasn’t the Vienna Lager.

Not now. I’m so freaking excited.

So stoked. Please just can everything (eventually...except lambic because canned lambic feels wrong). Year-round availability of Helles, Lager, Grodziskie, Vienna, and a Pils variant would be the dream (with seasonals like bock, märzen, wit, etc. smattered here and there).

This is a great, great start of course, though!

I don’t know the whole plan but bill said they want to package the hefe, but won’t can it because of the high carb levels. He said they’ll look into 500mL bottles like traditional German brands down the line.

Made my first visit to Dovetail and it was everything I imagined. I love German beer and every style that I tried was excellent. The Christmas Bock is downright delicious. If that is true that they will be canning the Vienna Lager, I will be picking that up anytime I see it. Nice touch to have the pretzels athough they need to be a little warmer, to say the least. Great atmosphere and I wish I was closer to this place.

I will be bringing a growler for filling next time!

We're canning the Helles tomorrow. You should be able to able to scoop up 4-packs in the taproom starting in the late-afternoonish.

I think that's what they're canning AFTER Helles.
