Also just tried Snowbirds (pouring out one of my “four” bottles was just some artistic license). I think I’m just not into whatever is considered a top imperial stout these days. I love the sort of thing HF puts out but if this is what is considered fire these days then I’m just not a stout guy

Have you had past iterations of Snowbirds? It’s a liquid candy bar, which while delicious, isn’t very complex.

Haven't been up to OH yet, any advice on good times to go that aren't too crazy and other logistics? Particularly interested in knowing what parking is like and if there are any specific areas nearby some1 would recommend looking for spots. Thx in advance.

If one is not looking for the “fire” then give Everything Was Forever, Until It Was No More a shot: clean/classic take on RIS given the exquisite roast-y characteristics, decadent yet dried-dark fruit concentrations, and an opportune feel…it’s been awhile, so hope to revisit the new batch and solidify remembrance

OH its pretty quiet during the week, especially on days after midweek releases. As far as weekends go, Sunday at open is a pretty good time. I have no idea about parking, I don't own a car.

You saw the bit about parking in the OP? I rarely drive there either - maybe someone that does can chime in with some more specifics. When I have gone (and I haven’t just made my wife sit in car on Smith while I run in) I’ve had decent luck on Garnet (and Centre once or twice) but those haven’t been peak times.

And advice on good times that aren’t crazy to go and have a chill beer? Or to go and have best chance of buying all cans they released that week without having to deal with a line? The former - what @Feaor said. The latter - generally a couple hours after opening on a Saturday

Also sorry everyone I seem to not make the write English good, plus have such an enormous ego that I expect people to remember stuff I posted from a few days ago. Double fail.

Anyway I meant in the above post that I had no snowbirds bottles - in reference to the below post. Sorry to all of you looking to trade.

Thanks for the tips and pointing that out, didn't realize there was parking tips on the OP so thanks! I'm a little south of Princeton so its only an hour and 12 min drive with no traffic, which is about the time it takes just to train it into manhattan (not including driving 15 min to the station) so it just makes way more sense to drive up there. Also way easier for bringing beer back too.

Looks like a few hours after open on Saturday or early Sunday are going to be my best bet. Don't have any vaca time left to use to go mid week. Thx!

Hey, don’t be getting all FOMO on me now. There is more to life than Untappd check-ins:wink::laughing:. Joking aside, have fun if you’re going. I’ve wanted to for a long time but the drive up to Brooklyn always dissuades me. Maybe I should just wait for the Rochester location to open, lol.

Oh I'm definitely not going. My fridge is officially full of beer after my trip to tree house this week.

I just wanted a taters like shit show to read about while I drank my coffee this morning.
