The fact that they sell 16 cans to every person in line and sell out in an hour. There is no reason they should be selling 16 cans. Someone earlier in this thread said something like, "Well if they can sell out in an hour and its easier for them than why not?" The answer to that is it is bad customer service and is ultimately getting their beer in less people's hands, which is a bad overall strategy. It's all hype with More and Mikerphone, and personally I am over it. I will still bitch about it on the internet to strangers though.

Also, the NW suburbs are in need of some more competition for these guys! It is a brewery desert over there

It’s very sad but this is what the craft beer industry has come to, people purchasing beer to only resale it for a profit. It’s only driving the prices of these beers up and makes it less enjoyable to find and drink the beer you want. I do think MoRE should have lowered the limits to 2-4pks, isn’t your goal as a brewery to try to get your beer out to as many people as possible? It’s not like your not going to sell the beer out within the weekend. I agree with the others on here, MoRE is a hype train. When it comes to their IPAs they are good but there is plenty other great beers out there.

Even if that limit was lowered to 2pp, how much longer would it have lasted? Regardless it’s going to sell out faster than most can get there to make a purchase. Pretty sure There will be more good beer release in Chicagoland.

I popped in to grab my bottle of Mehndi and had a 5oz glass of Rejuiced. I’d take NvU 10/10 times over it. Rejuiced was ok but I was kinda glad 4 packs didn’t make it til I got there. I feel bad for the locals that frequently visit the brewery that would’ve liked a couple 4 packs to enjoy at home. It’s not just More. If you’re a brewery how fucking hard is it to walk outside the brewery, look at the line waiting and then set the limit? This shouldn’t be this hard.

If you think this beer is selling for
‘Profitzzz’ as you called it, you clearly didn’t taste it. It’s very, very average. Much like most of the ipas coming out of More.

I don't get all of the "meh" reviews of Rejuiced. I thought it was fantastic. It instantly transported me back in time to when Juicy was one of the few NEIPA's available in the Chicagoland area. I loved Juicy then, and I love Rejuiced now. It's one of the most easy drinking 8% ipa's I've ever had. I couldn't believe how fast I drank my pour without even realizing it.

Sure, there is a ton of competition now, but that doesn't mean that Rejuiced is any less tasty because of it.

For the people who have tried Mehndi - is it good to drink now, or do you recommend waiting a little while?

If you wait you might lose some of the burn but I can't see a huge reason to wait...there's no adjuncts to let die down or change. So for that matter I don't see a huge reason why you couldn't sit on it.

Anyone know if More flash pasteurizes their barrel aged beers?

I’ve gotten to the point where I’m excited when things sell out. It means I don’t get to buy it, and my life changes in zero way.

I think they would last longer. The competition in the city is higher in terms of access to quality beer at all Time. Western burbs? Not as much

That depends on your preference. I think it’s pretty good right now because there is a good bit of bourbon barrel sweetness that comes through. It also get some booziness as it warms. I predict that the sweetness and booziness will die down over time (just a prediction) so if you don’t like booziness too much it may be worth a wait.

Yeah, I guess I should have specified what I meant. I was looking to see if it had a lot of burn/booziness, because I prefer to wait a while (6 mos or so) on stouts like that. It usually works to smooth things out, and I like the flavor better then.

    Thanks all for the input!

It’s funny you mention 6 months because that’s exactly what I was going to elaborate (6-8 month range) in regards to how long I would hold on to it in order to let it ‘settle’ as far as booziness if I was going that route. I like booziness more than most so I tend to prefer these fresh.
