Damn these all sound great, and subtle and balance sound like a nice change of pace. Wonder which of these they still have on hand. Thanks for sharing this.

Yes they are all exceptional!! Luchador series this year is next level. Dunno why folks are sleeping on these.

Lady Luminada and Loco Dinero best two IMO. Don't wait in line for another beer until you go Cruz and pick up at least one of these. Picked up some more bottles yesterday, all 5 are still there...

Anyone else completely uninterested in the $15 price increase of Clare's Thirsty?

Last years release was 2 bombers for $36.42, all inclusive. This years would be 4 cans for $49.88.

It's a stiff, STIFF price adjustment when Deth by Currants is $10 less for something very much its equal. I hope breweries aren't interpreting Mikerphones barrel aged price point as gospel

Are the cans 12 or 16 oz?

Unfortunately, I think many breweries are. I'm not saying Mikerphone is exclusively responsible for the dramatic rise in stout pricing in our region, but they certainly aren't helping slow it down and other breweries are likely taking note of being able to push the limits with pricing and still not be negatively affected when it comes to bottom line.

Deth by Currants was $40 a 4-pack, wasn't it (or was it $35? I can't remember)? Either way, at $10 a can, that puts it only slightly more than DbC (if $35), so I'm not too upset about it, and I can't fault them for the stupid online service fee and sales tax. The ability to buy 1-3 cans without any sort of markup (that you'd see at a beer shop breaking up Rev 4-packs) is kinda nice, honestly.

it was 35, don't think i've seen a BA rev release higher than that.

i believe ferocious's main issue is the dramatic price increase for the same beer, not the absolute cost.

i've found clare's to be overly sweet, so this is an easy pass for me

I bought tickets on Saturday as I forgot about the sale last year and missed out. My wife and I really enjoy the beer.

This has been my concern all along and a primary reason I don't support Mikerphone.

Not completely, just semi-uninterested. I saw the $10/can and decided against the full allotment due to the price increase.

I'm pretty positive at the brewpub, Currants was $40. My bartender put Currants on my tab when I ordered a Cafe 4-pack - I specifically remember that Currants was more than Cafe and I had to have him correct my bill

    I thought something was $40, couldn't remember.

Anyway, the price increase isn't great, of course, but I'm cool with a little upcharge if I don't have to deal with damn bombers.

Clare's is one of my fave fruited stouts (although funnily enough, it's a little more bitter than I prefer), and I like to support Haymarket when I can (no pun intended).

Mmm. I disagree, I didn’t find it to be too sweet, or very sweet at all. I thought it was good... maybe even a little bitter. Medium-heavy body

It really is great how the somewhat irrational hate for Mikerphone seems to permeate into nearly every conversation in the GL forum.

I bought 4 cans of Clare's Thirsty, as I had it on tap at Stout Fest earlier this year for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was perhaps my favorite fruited stout I've had. Granted, that was not even a full pour at a beer fest, so we'll see what I think when I have a full can of it.

Thanks, I was actually looking for that link but was having trouble finding it (I find Rev's site hard to navigate for some reason).

That was it. I don't know why I thought it was: Tar $30, Cafe $35, Currants $40

It's because of tax. Currants was $35 + $4 and change in tax. VSOJ was the same, all in, cost was like $39.50 or something.

Honestly I prefer smaller format too, but I'd rather have 3 bombers for $54 (based on last years pricing) than 4-12oz cans for $49. Especially the old trope that packaging in cans is reasonably cheaper than bottles.

Never had it before, bought one and looking forward to trying a draft at the pickup as well. Liked how you can buy 1-4 cans. Much prefer online releases and picking up in the future without crazy lines or drama.

I still blame last year's BCS LP fiasco on them. If they didn't perpetuate this "lining up" culture maybe we wouldn't have this problem.
