If that’s the case, I’ll be drinking the two bottles I bought this year very soon.

I liked the subtle maple flavor in the fresh 2017 version. It worked very well with the other flavors without being too sweet. It's still a great beer, but KBS is back in front as my personal favorite.

Just enjoyed my first 2018 bomber. Quite intense coffee and booze, with a few months of age it should really become amazing. A hair harsh at this point, IMO.

Just had a 16oz and 8oz pour tonight of 2018. Stellar and makes me glad I snagged a bottle. Probably won’t do a side by side with my ‘17 bomber. I learned the hard way a month or so ago I need help with that! Was gonna do a ‘16, ‘17, ‘18 KBS and after finishin’ ‘16 and a quarter of the other two I had to go to bed!

I was pretty excited to walk into the Nashua, NH Craft Beer Cellar this evening to find a single bottle of CBS on the shelves for the low, low price of $22.50 for a 750 mL bottle. Obviously snagged it, considering I've paid up to $24 for it before. Can't believe I got the last bottle they had!

Found it, finally!! $26 per bomber is a bummer though.

Founders 2019 release calendar has CBS for an end of year release. No word on format.

    Isn't Sucaba a Firestone beer?

If they changed the bottling format I'd be buying it, but for me a bomber of this in one sitting is just too much.

Major DUH on my part. Sucaba is a Firestone beer.

Just reviewed it - 4.79. My highest rated beer. The real deal, this one is.

Interesting that Founders has a steady enough supply of maple barrels that they can bring it back at least three years in a row, though at the risk of hurting cult status like they did by overproducing KBS. Hopefully they get the memo about CBS format, though it will be a tough sell since they make more that way.

Have you had Vanilla BCBS? CBS was my favorite until I had that.

Is it a possibility that they’re recycling barrels like New Holland does with Dragons Milk?

Only if they're adding maple syrup or extract, since the maple flavor is stronger this year.

i'm of the (probably)unpopular opinion that cbs shouldn't be an every-year thing. i guess i enjoy the chase. length of time between releases definitely plays a role in that.
