What? I never heard anyone say anything about lasting until next week when I was there. The only thing that was said while I was inside was that sundae and what I thought he said was coconut, (but also could have been cognac with the metal up loud in there) were going to run out today. We’ll never know because unless either one ran out after sundae did today, they’re both going to make it to next week now.

We are 81.4% sold through of Coconut - will have it next Thursday but my guess would be won’t make it to Friday.

Headed out later this afternoon, hoping they still have a coconut with my name on it.

I'm thinking you should be good. PW sent out the general public email announcing the release of the BA Dogs and variants and Coco still had a limit of 4 pp. Assuming you get there at dojo opening or soon after it appears they should still have enough. They also had the Cognac variant at 2pp in the email.

Cognac was what I ended up with, I tried both that and Coconut and Cognac was the winner to me.

Other way around. Limit 2 for Coconut and 4 for Cognac. Coconut is a drop from limit 4 last weekend.

Just for clarity, the pw email said limit 2 on coconut and 4 for cognac. Also, pw posted a little further up on the thread they are about 81.4% (I believe) through coconut.

Well damnit. I was going to get the coconut and skip the cognac. Now maybe one of each.

Just sample each of them and see which you like more, that's what I did

EDIT - coconut is really sweet/smooth if that's your thing whereas cognac was boozy and more flavorful

I ended up doing one each of Coconut and Cognac. Haven't drank either, yet, though. A buddy picked em up for me, so I don't even have em yet.

    Haha. I think so.

Nah. He lives in the city. I live in the burbs. Easier for him to go, and rarely will either of us want a full allotment. I went to the Benthic release and split it with him. He did the JDs and we didn't even bother with the full allotment, though he could have. We each only wanted a couple to try. He got a coconut and sundae. I got a coconut and cognac. Gotta spread out that money. So many good beers, gotta buy a little of a lot, or a lot of a little. Lol. I prefer a little of a lot. Vary things up, so I'm not drinking the same shit all the time.

Coconut is or almost is out. Declared they were out, found a box or two more.

I know it has already been said before but these PW releases are the best. Pickup up my Jones Doggies today, in and out with samples. Really liked both Coconut and Cognac. Smooth and balanced. No issues returning my BA Murderous bottles. Gave back the 2 I had and showed them my receipt for the 3rd that was drank. They gave refund for all three. Only regrets was not going last Thursday to grab some Neapolitan and AB.

Has anyone recently opened a bottle of The Encore? Was curious to know if anyone has had a similar experience to what I encountered last night.

The first 7 ounces poured out as expected and the beer tasted great. Awesome blend of blueberry and coffee. Was very impressed.

However, I started pouring 5 ounce tasters for everyone else and the beer started pouring like sludge. It was very thick and almost goopy. It tasted bitter and was like a completely different beer. I am not sure what happened but the rest of the bottle was completely different. Sad we had to dump the rest of the bottle because the first bit was so good.

Has anyone else run into this with this beer?

Had that with a bottle of The Encore we opened recently; and a friend had that shortly after release with his bottle. Both times it was syrupy / thick; not the snotty globs that I've seen happen on some other beers before. Didn't notice a huge change in taste, just texture.
