No details. While back, with a fully loaded new model PowerBook I spent a lot of time with a Apple Tech support (free of course).

I think there’s a solution to your problem but if won’t be solved by amateur on line tech support. If there’s an Apple store near you take it in and ask at the Genius Bar for help. Be prepared if asked to pay a fee and then get 2x or 3x your moneys worth by asking questions dumb or not so that you understand what and why and how. May be a bit of time invested that could be good long term investment. Sometimes repeated over stress shortens useful life.

Thanks, but it's ONLY BeerAdvocate that causes the problem and, come to think of it, maybe only the forums - I'm not sure about that. A less expensive, more expeditious solution would probably be to spend more time working and less time fucking around on here.

My power drain was only with a few sites and pieces of software and none of my colleagues with similar installations had the problem had the problem.

OS was new version at Xo. The problem got reduced by tech support and magically disappeared with the release and installation of X.1

With all those different internal os thingees and your additional installation add one, virtually no way something won’t slip through the cracks un caught.

    Good luck.
