I would think any beer they have on hand would be going to the festival with them.

Does anyone know what's the best way to find the latest tap list at Brick farm?

According to untappd they were pouring three beers at Far and Away:

    Hi, Chicago

    Hi, hi, Chicago

    Bye, Chicago

A sour ale, an IPA, and a milkshake IPA is what they're categorized (I forget which is which) so maybe we'll see some of them here?

I think they were just renamed versions of beers they already released.

Athazagoraphobia is a sour with Passion Fruit and Mango which would be similar to Bye, Chicago.

Possibly. Not sure what the 'Milkshake' IPA would be, though

It's apparently Galaxy + Citra + vanilla which we haven't gotten, afaik

Is Troon ever gonna increase capacity? Or are they complacent serving the same 100 customers every release.

I'm glad you guys were able to find out ahead of time about the stout. I went straight from voting to Troon otherwise I would have dropped a post here for you all
They recently increased from a 3 (or maybe 4) bbl brewhouse to a 7 bbl. The 'problem' for Troon is that they are currently on protected farm land so they can only make use of existing structures and cannot expand or build new buildings. There may be some flexibility for small things but it seems like, at that location, increasing capacity greatly is not feasible. Even if they wanted to. However, between Brick Farm Tavern sales, a very loyal customer base, a super desirable product, and their pricing structure, I am not sure if they even want to expand rapidly. I believe Alex has said they are trying to expand as organically as possible which probably means it'll be a while.

The good news is the 7bbl brewhouse is up and running and there is a sour beer program ongoing! and you can always get pours at Brick Farm

How was Sourland Mountain Spirits able to get approval to build an addition to their facility, which is under construction as we speak?

If I had to guess that was rebuilding something that existed at some point or was already pre-approved as a building zone or something. I am not a lawyer, owner of the property, or anything so I can just speculate.

but needless to say, that addition is much smaller than expanding a brewhouse.

New beer is added on Untappd as of this evening - "Happy Anniversary!" BA stout w/ chilis

    https://untappd.com/b/troon-brewing-happy-anniversary/2973871

Last year's anniversary was a BA stout with vanilla and chili variants. Unsure, if this is going on for cans tonight or Monday (when the anniversary party is)

I would if it wasn't an hour away. Can anyone explain why there are never any good beer events along the Route 1 corridor? I would think with Rutgers being in New Brunswick I'd get something over here every once in awhile but honestly there's never really anything all that good

No beer to go at the anniversary it seems. Those stouts were to die for last year so slightly disappointed, but lets hope he drops them at some point.

It still amazes me that they can post a sale at a little after five on any given day (without a guarantee there will even be a release) and sell over 200 allotments in 1 1/2 hours while located in the middle of nowhere. I’m fascinated by Troon.

The most fascinating part is that going to crowlers was the catalyst.

Exactly. Yet so many places do crowlers and people don’t go apeshit for them. Rushing Duck in NY is an example (and they do cans too plus they have a tap room). They make amazing beer and more of it and their beer lasts nicely for those who want to show up at their leisure. I’ve said this before but I prefer a half growler to crowler. At least you can reseal and finish the next day if you want.
