Can't walk that far. Though it is awesome. What can I walk too from three Floyd's that is indoors? Not much. Which is why I go to windmill alot more recently.

Regular Behemoth went to $17 from $15 after they increased prices across the board for packaged sales. Believe that took effect January

I like 4 hours away and manage to get there for every BA release. Priorities man

Hell I've been 3 times in the past month. I'll stay for a couple hours and just head back home. Makes for a long day in the car

Sad that I'm a regular that lives that far away. They know me by name and on my birthday me and my buddy got $50 worth of beer taken off our tab. And also got bumped up in the waiting queue on Yelp. Our "hour and 15 min" wait lasted 5 min.

A server dropped a glass near my table last time I was there. Wasnt even a beer for me. And they took $25 off my bill just because the glass landed close to my foot lol

That's the kind of shit that makes me laugh when people criticize their staffs attitude and customer service

With 2 kids, a wife, a dog and a house, I know what my priorities are. And they are over FFF or any beer for that matter.

But it sounds like you have great experiences there and it is good to hear about, especially with as many people that like to shit on FFF.

Quick question: is fff still viable in the trading world? I remember when I could get anything for a 6pk of zombie dust.

I would think out of market stuff like Pliny for ZD still works. But not for hyped stuff

Nbrock24 is right. I've traded zombie dust for Pliny and other Russian river before. And I've traded a Behemoth for some treehouse. The BA stuff like Crack the Skye or Behemoth variants would trade for higher things but I still wouldn't say there's a huge demand for it.

I think it’s become more common for ‘locals for locals’ trading and far less for ‘limited’ unless you have a Dark Lord variant.

I think you're right. It's hard to even trade a regular dark lord. Same way with surly darkness. There are so many great beers out there now. Some great classics are being passed over or away.

It’s best to wait until DLD weekend. Then a lot of people are around who want to maximize their trip, complete verticals, etc.

I didn't take offense. I was just stating mine. Hah. But it really is good to hear the great experiences and makes me even more ready for the first time I do end up visiting.

There is a good walking trail in the woods behind windmill for nice spring days. I could also go over to the dollar tree and think of stuff to buy or harolds chicken across the street from windmill. Also a nice little restaurant across the street the other way called savory spot with po boys and other southern food that you can't find lots of places. On a nice day you could have a picnic in the woods to sober up. I've also walked over the bridge to get lynwood carryout before. i guess if you planned accordingly you could do the same at the park across the street from three floyds. But, you'd have to get the food first. hot food would probably be cold by the time you finished drinking at three floyds. Munster has more businesses than dyer but, nothing really walkable. At least there are options nearby with windmill that i appreciate. Though not much better place to sober up than here. I think i can see Gary from up here.

Probably not? The rarer something is the more viable it is to trade. Most of the stuff they sell at the brewery is stuff you can buy at Binny's. Your best best would be to buy seasonal stuff that isn't distributed. Or the second they start releasing new stuff in 6 packs grab it. Or just wait until somebody requests it in a trade and go buy it.

Im not looking to buy or trade any floyd's. I live pretty close so I can get whatever. I was just wondering. I basically lived there a few years ago but stopped going when more breweries started popping up. Thanks anyway

So I was just searching on Untappd for Blot out the sun (to see when I last had it) and saw BA Blot Out the Sun 2018.
    No checkins yet.

What does anybody know about this?

That was just normal wasn't it? I didn't think they have done a barrel aged version since 2013?
