    A fine journeyman Vienna lager from Schell's...



    It's got the looks (excellent) and has some better than average aroma and flavor (nicely balanced caramel and crystal malt elements and some well-balanced hoppiness). Warm and inviting on the palate...more enjoyable than watching the Broncos this afternoon...

    I capped that last one- holy shit, a real head clearer. This is one of the best Ive had recently. One month old. I may go back and buy the rest. 11 bucks a bottle and worth every penny. Nelson and Mosaic. The best expression of Nelson I can remember. Awesome brew.[​IMG]

    NOLA really nailed this one. The key lime and coconut is understated with a slight vanilla finish. Surprisingly, it isn't sweet at all.

    Well, "Doofen" means stupid people and "Schmerz" means pain, so the best figurative translation I could come up with is "The pains of stupidity". A better German phrase might simply be "Dummheit tut weh". I will admit that it doesn't quite have the same ring as "Doofenschmirtz" to it though :rofl:!

    After typing all that I'm not sure if I'm too drunk or not drunk enough though :sweat_smile:...

    Awesome wild NEIPA as expected. Fantastic fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tart lemon, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red/green apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grass; with moderate wheat, white bread dough malts; light leathery/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; peppery yeast spiciness; and light Brett tang/tartness on the finish. High carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, 6%. Belma, Chinook, Citra, and Denali. Awesome balance of juicy/dank/earthy hops and fruity/funky/spicy Brett complexity; nice wheat/oat/malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from crisp dryness. They are always impressive. This reminds of Jolly Pumpkin funk profile a lot from the Omega yeast. 4.13
