I live just to the west of Lancaster City. Great area for beer these days. Tons of good breweries within an hour or so drive.

I have a few left from the case I bought earlier this year, haven't had any issues. Wanna play paper, scissors, rock for the rest of the case?

I reside northeast of Harrisburg and im over the whole drink local thing. Cant even remember the last time I purchased anything from Troegs, Weyerbacher, Victory, etc.

For being ~4 hours away, I drink a ridiculous amount of Voodoo beer.

Nothing against those other breweries you mentioned, but I agree that Voodoo is a notch above. Their IPAs, NEIPAs and pales, and most of all their stouts are simply better.

    SEPA here, Pottstown area.

I used to say this about Funk, back in their infancy Citrus was orgasmic. As they out grew their OG facility and moved things to a contract brewery, they have not been the same. Now Citrus, Silent Disco and R&D are just average to me.

And honestly on Levante? I've not had a beer of theirs that I've said OMG! And trust me, I've had a bunch of theirs. I think Cloudy & Cumbersome is still their best.

I don't know, I'm kind of in a PA funk. Tired Hands is still tops in my book, but give me another brewery in PA that I say I need to have in my fridge? I'm not sure I can name one. Yes, I can say I always need a PA pilsner and things like Nugget Nectar and Perpetual are always really good, but nothing new coming out from any of these guys is "wowing" me.

That being said, some of my old favs are popping back up. I see Stickman made another batch of Mafia Movies. That beer is terrific and I'll be picking some up. On a second note, I've been drinking the now seasonal Storm King and it's really, really good. Absense makes the heart grow fonder.

On a third note, is anyone looking forward to the new Hop Wallop? I sure am.

Keith, you aren't a fan of Hidden River beers?

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention Hidden River. Excellent brewery (near Douglassville, which is a hike for me but I pretend it's a pilgrimage).
Nobody has mentioned South County Brewing, in lovely Fawn Grove (which is a hike for ANYBODY, but well worth it).
And York itself seems to open a new brewery every week. Collusion is probably top of the heap. I think there are 6 or 7 breweries downtown at the moment.
Good time (and a good area) to be a beer enthusiast!

After re-reading the title, I'm based in SEPA, use commuter rail into the city and can easiy drive to NJ or DE.

    West Chester PA for me.

Echo Kadonny, not too excited about the local scene any more. I used to lunch at Victory every Friday but had one too many uninspired $7 beers and ended that tradition. Will have to stop by again to try their new Hop Wallup though.

State College here, right in the middle of the state.

Definitely not the selection you guys are used to in SEPA and SWPA, but things are steadily improving. Otto's, Happy Valley, and Robin Hood are our locals, with Elk Creek (Millheim) and Shy Bear (Lewistown) being our next closest breweries.

I am Jack, but I don't have time to go there and sit down for a few hours to enjoy their beers very often, in fact it's been a long time since I was there. When I am there I really love their beer, they do great stuff, but the lack of growlers or packaged beer really hinders how much you can enjoy. Who has time to go there often and sit and drink their always "new" beer. I wish I did, but don't. So, by not having the time to sit and enjoy their beer, how can I be excited about it. That's flat honesty. Again, I wish I had the time, I am a fan.

I hope some day they get to packaging (beyond the small crowler release they do each week).

I will say though, after thinking a bit more I am actually semi-excited about PUB. I've been there twice, and their beer is really good. I see they just released a NEIPA that I really need to swing by and try. I like where those guys are going, so that's a positive for PA.

Was just out for a conference over the summer. The quality of your beer bars has certainly improved over the past couple years.

Honey Brook, in southeastern PA. It's a great area for beer, although I'm sure everyone knows that already. I've been into local/PA beers since the mid-90s and it's gotten to the point that I can't keep up anymore! I don't pay much attention to trends and usually look for classic styles made well.

    Now I'm thirsty...
