Trade Value Thread (TVT) Quarter 4 2018

I just recently tried DS and was very unimpressed. I've sent some nice offers in the past for a crowler, and now I'm glad I didn't land one. Seemed very thin and not super flavorful and didn't seem like a 11% beer. Perhaps it was an old crowler?

 

What’s a good ratio of BCBS Vanilla (2018) to Vanilla Rye?

 

Which side are you on?

 

I'd guess 4 or 5 to 1 VR. With how much 2018 vanilla is out there though, might still be hard to close if you're on that side. If you're on the VR side, then shouldn't be too tough to close.

 

I think this is right. I was going to say AT LEAST 4. But I think it would be really hard to achieve if you're not on the VR side.

 

Since people jumped in already, I'll just get to it as well.

If on the VR side, you can probably ask for 4 and close it pretty quick. Ask for less, instantly. Ask for 5, and it will probably take a full day. Ask for 6, and it might take awhile.

Conversely, if you're ISO the VR, 4 would be a right set of eyes I think (not that hard to find, I wouldn't think), but it probably won't convince anyone to give up their bottle. Offering 5 I would think would induce some people to give theirs up. Might take a couple postings, or maybe just a single.

 

Yeah if someone has VR on hand but not vanilla, they didn't even try, like at all.

 

Hey all. So, if a guy was contemplating trading his KBBS for a BBT B1, Nillerzzz and '18 BC reserve would he be getting the short end of the deal? Asking for a friend.

It seems to be a pretty even trade from what I've seen.

 

I disagree with this 100%...VR has been available for 4+ years now and has been released multiple times through that length whereas 2018 Vanilla has been available for less than a month. I have personally come across a few VR over the years and only ended up with 1 bottle of 2018 Vanilla from the 10+ stores I went to.

 

How are you getting Utopias at 57.5% off?
I thought retail was $200 and that's the only price I have ever seen it sold for.

 

We were swimming in Vanilla over here and most people that didn't think they could get it were putting up ISOs frequently prior to. And still, most of those people got their own Vanilla on Black Friday anyway.

But wait...are you in possessions of a VR and needing a few Vanilla? That's an easy one for me...especially if you're pumping up the value of Vanilla like that as if it was scarce.

 

Utopias has been ~C$110 for the 2015 and 2017 releases up here. I don’t know why it is so much cheaper. I assume it’s because the LCBO has huge buying power.

The thing is. Vr value is established enough.... That even this thread uses VR units as denomination for value

I tried to get as many as I could because I had heard great things about it and it being compared to VR but only found 1 bottle.

I am no longer in possession of a VR, opened it for my niece's birth. I am not saying that vanilla is scarce but living in St. Louis, MO it was not was as easy as you are making it is all that I am saying.

 

2018 Transient Kentuckley + FO b4 for Horus Proper Dose? Maybe the Proper Dose side adds a bit? Feedback much appreciated!
