Hoping for some non-tose classics to drop this weekend for the holidays. Forever Simcoe would be nice.

 

Making the trip up to NYC from Florida in February and will be going to OH on a Saturday Afternoon. Other than what was listed as nearby food in the first post, any other food/ restaurant recommendations in this area that are a must visit for lunch specifically? Our trip is beer and food focused so we are trying to hit all the right spots. Thanks!

 

On a scale of “one” to “more”, how tuned are you guys?

 

Haha, late reply, but while I was checking out she put a bottle of Wilfred's on the counter and said it was the last one so that how I knew.

 

Looks like we're getting the sequel to All Infinity Everything finally. They're also pouring Stick in the Mud, Beachfront Avenue, and Infinity Minus 1 Plus 2 today.

 

For those that have tried prior iterations of Smoke Screens, how sweet is it? For my personal taste, most OH stouts have been way too sweet/syrupy so wondering if this is similar.

 

Smoke Screens is not sweet, I seem to remember it tasting like bakers chocolate, dark fruits, and light smoke. These variants might be a little sweeter though.

 

You're going to have to lay out some parameters, if the stuff already listed in OP doesn't cover it. Just to avoid any "I don't like Spanish food", "$15 for a fucking main?", "but that place only has one michelin star" type stuff

 

am i reading correct that Tremendous Cream has no lactose?

 

I would rate myself as “many” right now.

 

i read that its the same beer as dollar and a dream but amped up. so maybe more 'tose?

 

All 'Tose Everything this weekend with the exception of Green Power.

 

yeah thats a no go for me. that 'tose flavor is really starting to irritate me unless the beer is like 11% and then its like 7000 calories.

I will say that Other Half isn't really vegan friendly, its often not clear whether stuff has lactose in it, particularly the stouts, and you also have periods like right now where a huge chunk of the board is Oat Cream IPAs. I have a friend who just moved to the city a few months ago that enjoys craft beer but is vegan and I can't realistically take him to Other Half as a result.
