I keep going back and forth on the lactose. Admittedly I did really like Vapor Rings and Grimm's new stout, but while you can pick it up in the beer I don't think it adds anything that makes it superior to similar non-tose'd beers(like daydream vs non-daydream). I'm not vegan, but between that, lactose intolerance, and the added calories I don't get why it's being done so much.

Anybody have an idea how much of the Smokescreens they have today? Split batch with Rochester most likely right? Is it the leftovers, or normal production run?

Difficult to say without trying the new stouts. They have much higher ABV than original Smokescreens.

Sand City collab confirmed on Sand City's Instagram. Hashtags would lead me to believe it's gonna be called Infinity Daydream.

NYE weekend release? Please say yes.

Guessing 1/5 release is more likely. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the Omnipollo Collab for NYE release.

Is there a no layups / raining threes follow up coming, too?

That happened already. Safety In Numbers (former The Answer brewer) Collab called Blazer Hazers. It was great.

that instagram story showing the sand city collab... are they really brewing beer with a stacked washer/dryer combo? guessing that's a joke, but i've also had great beer brewed out of a friends kitchen, so maybe not?

Anyone ever get a OH growler fill at WF Tribeca? Their prices are surprisingly amazing, but the kegs have been on for a while now. Any issues with freshness?

Freshness seems to always be an issue there as does they're handling of the kegs unfortunately. I've never had a fill that tastes remotely like the beer I am familiar with there.

That's a shame. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Looking for recommendations from those in the know in NYC. My wife and I are coming up for the day (Chelsea area - 23rd and 7th-ish) on Friday. Seems like most of the breweries in the City do Saturday releases and cans on Fridays are sparse. The plan is currently to go to Other Half - do they ever do Friday drops? I won't be able to hang out - just stop and go. Is there any brewery worth checking out in NYC that may have cans to go come Friday afternoon? My fridge is full of stouts which is a great problem to have but as of now it looks like that and the pilsener will be all that's available in cans/bottles at OH. Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Threes brewing has a shop. Check the inventory on Instagram. Just a thought. It's not Other Half hype level stuff but there's quality NY State and City stuff there. Not sure about markup though.

Grimm always has cans/bottles to-go, and is a little easier to get to than OH from most parts of Manhattan.

If they're staying around 23rd/7th they can take the F at 23rd/6th to Smith to get to OH.

While OH rarely does Friday drops -- they often do weekday drops that are available come Friday. Grimm or OH should have at least 2-3 options each to go in cans or bottles.

If you go to Grimm, Interboro is close by and they are releasing three cans on Friday night with a party to boot. One of the beers is an Equilibrium collab.
