DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2018)

Vanilla, Bramble, Orange and Coffee BW were all $50 each on their website last week. I guess it's good that they are dropping the prices to slightly less, but still obnoxious markups. Metro, 1 West, Sherry's, and Barrel House are all on my list of shops to avoid due to their steadfast practice of being price-gouging assholes when they get a hold of anything desirable or limited. I'd rather whiff on a sought-after brew than reward their bullshit.

 

I remember when Metro had Coffee for like $35 dollars a year or two ago...it sat there for a year.

 

Has anyone seen any Bells BLack Note Stout around? Usually it hits this time of year.

Quadruple Barrel Baptist and Baptista at Norm's as of close last night. Also had shelf turds BCBS and CBS, if anyone hasn't stumbled across them literally everywhere else.

FW XXII at TW Alexandria and Springfield and Dominion.

 

I was surprised to see both at TW in McLean

 

I saw that in the McLean TW

 

I just stopped in Moms in Arlington and they had CBS $4 cheaper than TW...

 

I noticed TW started being less price-competitive about a year or two ago. Disappointing for a business with their size, but I guess it just gives me more reason to shift my business to mom and pop establishments.
