Anyone try Trapper Pie II? Worth picking up?

I called at 2:00 this afternoon, they had 3 cased of vanilla left and being a half hour away they would have been sold out when I got there. Shame too, I love the Vanilla and this was the one week I had a lunch appointment and couldn't get there at noon.

Oh well, I saved myself $66.

Hate to use this description because I feel like it's applied far too often, but it definitely tastes green. I get faint cocoa and vanilla on the front, but there's a sharpness on the back end that I'm hoping dissipates over time.

I grabbed one ,it's pretty good but in hindsight I wish I grabbed another extra vanilla instead. This batch is really excellent

I wasn't a huge fan of Virga, the first bottle that was released under the Heavy Gem label but sharing nonetheless.

WFTG is too much Nelson. Grassman gets it just right, and this batch is much more like the original and less like the last one which I though finished a little too heavy and sweet. Definitely one of the top 2 or 3 IPAs they make. Gloom is just too much Nelson for my taste, but maybe in a couple of weeks it won't be so overwhelming.

While I do really enjoy this beer, in some iterations, calling it a collab at this point is akin to calling all of the shakes collabs with Omnipollo.

How were those Heavy Gem brews?

Collaboration beers are either a total mess, or one brewery's beer with two breweries' names on it.

Not sure where the Monkish collab falls on that spectrum, but it's one of the better cans Tired Hands has released. (Edit: Heist Decoder to be more specific, as I guess they've done a few together)

The last batch of Refreshing was a sheer let down, too much sweetness to be "refreshing". Now two batches ago it was just over the top good and uber crushable (for an 8%er). Here is hoping to another over the top good.

Nope. I might get some Refreshing if I'm in the area, but I won't go just for that. I do however need a new shot of some fresh Alien Church, so maybe a trip is in order.

Arrived in town yesterday and headed over to TH. There was no line whatsoever at 5:30 so I picked up the copy and paste (passed on the refreshing because I am going to be visiting a ton of breweries and picking up a lot of beer on this trip). It's a great beer in my opinion. I wish I had bought more. I must say it was also really nice to be able to just walk into the general store and pick up alien church.... What a change from past years where I'd be standing and waiting behind empty fold out chairs like an idiot.

This batch refreshing is on point . I will give Tired Hands a ton of credit, they have reduced the pricing and have released bunch of classics in the last couple months, as well as limiting the obscure ingredients. They have definitely listened to voice of public opinion. Thank you to them, you have my continued support.

Buddy of mine says it reminds him of Hudson Valley's sour IPAs.

So why did this one sell out so fast? Souled out Wed night and there was a decent amount of allotments too.
