Anyone else see the "Sour Milkshake IPA" announcement on their Instance story?... anyone care to translate the tone behind it?... because the message seems pretty bizarre (on an abbreviated glance).

In front of a pic of a "Milkshake IPA Pineapplem Guava" bottle (like a 375 maybe) was something that seemed to boil down to "We know there's demand for a sour Milkshake IPA, but we find that sour IPAs just taste like cotrusy yogurt or cough syrup and I don't like how the acidity overpowers the hops... but [something about The Creative Process] we're doing it anyway." Uhhh what kind of messaging is this?

I think they were talking about kettle soured, sour IPAs and they they were doing a non-kettle version that took 6 months to develop the sour piece.

Ran over to the brewery today and got a 4 pack of Hail Santa and Wish Fulfillment, both very good beers from past releases. I also got 2 bottles of the Milkstave IPA, I'll let you know what I think.

I’ve had Wish Fulfillment on draft and in growlers multiple times. It has always been one of my top favs from TH.

I was excited to see the holiday announcement that it was canned. Picked up a case (at $18 a 4pk) knowing it was a beer I love. I was extremely disappointed to find it tasted nothing like previous versions. I found it to have literally no galaxy hop flavor. It was an expensive average to below average case of beer. Anyone else have thoughts on this canning?

So is this the first time ever there wasn't a mid-week can release? I know they did one on Sunday but they've done tag before and always had a Wed/Thu release.

Ah damn, sorry to hear that. I have not cracked any yet but I'll give you my opinion this weekend. I'm really looking forward to the Milkstave too.

I drank a bottle of the MilkStave a couple days ago and liked it a lot. To me it was mostly a well-done fruited wild with a slight sweetness that worked very well to balance the acidity. The dry-hopping is well-integrated, it’s not as front-and-center as it is in Shambolic, which I also think is one of the best beers they make. This latest batch of Shambolic is incredible too.

I'm sure today's D2H3 Galaxy release won't be any better. Haven't liked any of the recent D2H3 variants, all were lacking in hops

Good to hear. Shambolic is hands down my favorite non IPA from TH. That beer is incredible. I have 2 in the fridge, I might need more.

Ok onto Wish Fulfillment. Agreed, where is the galaxy? All I get is soapy almost tart muted hop flavor. Really disappointing.

Onto Hail Santa. Very good rye IPA, similar to last year. Worth the buy for sure, I really like this one two years in a row now.
