That would be a huge difference what Ezra posted on The New School. He said he heard $1.1 million dollars for the production facility and $1.5 million for the pub.

That makes way more sense than Alameda. Ezra doesn't usually throw things around that inaccurate.

Wife and I stayed there before. Nice room. The street car/max noise at night (keep your window closed), though. We walked to fatheads ( now von Eberts) and deschutes. Both are kid friendly imo. Also, as mention the max is literally right there.

I haven't been in quite some time, but at one time full sail had some sort of relationship with the river front M&S Harborside grill and pilsner room (I think there's a pilot brewery there - or at least there was at one time). In the past, I think there were roughly 20 or 30 beers on tap, with a number of experimental full sail offerings.

From the Rose hotel, I don't think it would be more than a 5 or 10 minute walk to the pilsner room.

I would avoid eating at the bottle and kitchen there at the hotel.

Closed..looking at various restaurants..the beer selection is very poor. Better in Salem eateries wow!

Does the PDX airport Deschutes pub have bottles of abyss to go? Have a layover in Portland on the way somewhere with little to no craft beer. would be nice to bring with.

I think so. Was just by there the other day and they had signs up about its availability. Could have been referring to on tap, but they had bottle pictures and it would make sense for them to sell bottles of abyss out of the pdx pub.

Kells should also be pretty close to your hotel and they brew their own beer. North of Kells you're going to head into Old Town where you probably don't want to take your 15 year old kid. If you're crossing the Morrison bridge (which is very safe and separated from cars by a concrete divider) you also have Wayfinder reasonably close. If you walk up Morrison to the west and take a right on 10th-13th you'll end up in the Brewery Blocks on the other side of Burnside where you'll find Deschutes, Von Ebert, 10 Barrel, Rogue, McMenamins, Backpedal, and Backwoods. I think at least most of those are kid friendly.

I will be visiting Portland in a month and I’m looking for bottles of Deschutes Black Butte XXVIII (its the only one I’m missing in the series). Anyone know if they have it at the pub or at any bottle shops in town?

When I was at their Bend pub, they had an extensive list of vintage bottles. I’d assume the Portland pub would be the same. If you don’t have any luck finding some, PM me.

The new Vagabond PDX location seems to becoming along. The story behind their procurement of the Cessna is pretty cool too.

Hey all, the wife and I are in Portland visiting family and were wondering if any taproom are open tonight or if a bar is our best bet for drink this evening.

Staying in the Pearl District. Thanks.

Beermongers is open. They’re across the river but no too far away. Cheap Uber or bus ride. Small taplist but lots of bottles/cans and great prices.

Just booked by visit up to Portland for the end of February. Got myself 3 nights in town, one of which I will be hitting up a concert.

Working which breweries to hit up while in town and this thread has been most helpful. Lots of places I want to check out, but I tend to prefer sticking with 2 or so spots a day max. Right now Upright is probably the one sure visit. Cascade is probably as close to a definite too. Burnside, Baerlic and Ex Novo (since they will be opening a spot up outside Albuquerque and might be worth checking their original base out first) are all being considered as well. Anyone I am missing? Anyone I should remove?

FWIW, my favorite styles are saisons, most lagers (with German Pilsners being my absolute favorite), west coast IPA's, dark/roasty stouts.
