    Travelling the next two weeks and will likely not make any more releases, so am prepared to offer this arbitrary, concise, controversial take on OH's 2018 year in beer:

    1. Rookie of the Year - the Dream Layers series
    2. Best in Show - Forever Simcoe, every goddamn release of it
    3. Biggest Loser - Completely forgettable collabs

    I feel like a lot of things happened with their stouts but really they were just all over the map and you could probably write a whole analysis of those alone. Not drunk enough to attempt that...yet.

    For me (someone who definitely doesn’t make an effort to try every single thing they put out), number 3 would be hands down the Coco one (Coco what now? was it called)

    Man I wish breweries would stop putting nuts in their stouts. This is one of the OH stouts that actually tastes like a traditional american stout but I don’t feel like dying for a taste.

    Do nut additions actually do anything to the flavor of a high ABV stout with other additives that are overpowering as is (i.e. coffee)? I cant tell as I’ve never had one. To me seems that nuts are added just to raise the price.

    The other version sounds similar to SDW. Gonna swing by Friday.

    OH Matt: "Call Monkish, or dont? We'll brew a beer, call it a collab, and IG tag them."
    OH Sam: "Great idea, but let's throw in a little Galaxy so we can mention it's in there!"
    OH Matt: "Wow! People are lining up already."

    Real talk though, I'd line up for that again to get more F$#@*D Around and Got a Triple Double.

    Can anyone recommend reliable bars in Manhattan that might have Other Half on draft? I know Haymaker usually does. Any other places? I'll be in NYC this Sunday - Monday for the Phish from VT : )
