It pleases me you are so consistently predictable even in your weak troll game. I treat your opinions and palate like George Costanza- always do the opposite!

Yep. For anyone thinking to get the excess FWB Jones Dogs today they aren’t selling and haven’t decided how long the extension for pickup will be.

Likely one of my last trips from the suburbs for Pipeworks.

Had Pipeworks announced they were releasing the unclaimed bottles today? or was that just a guesstimation based on past releases?

Okay, so what's my opinion going to be on M-43 when I have one later?

I was told 1 month from release to fwb members, which was today. I assume the 30 in line were there for that reason

I think they're definitely not ahead on the lager trend. They're hitting it at the same time as the trend is hitting, probably even behind. Lagers have been gaining steam for a year or more now, closing in on two.

I welcome Pipeworks into the style because they're doing very well, but they aren't ahead of a trend here, nor are they setting one.

I was told from them last Saturday to come back today for the leftovers.
What pissed me off the most was that they obviously saw us standing out there and didn’t think to tell us till 11:00.

Maybe they’ll have it available later today. I’m glad they aren’t catering to the line waiting zombies that fuck up every descent beer being released out there. I hope they don’t put out left-overs until the line is completely gone, or put it out last 5 minutes so that they can make sure you feel like you earned it.

No, they said extended the FWB indefinitely and will send another email to them later giving the new deadline. They had been telling people that came into the bottle shop it was going to be today for the last month and then changed their mind this morning because so many FWB had not picked up bottles.

The “line waiting zombies” were no more than 30 regulars, so not really seeing the connection to mule paradises like More. And some of us in the burbs prefer to hit it early while traffic is less nuts.

That you’re looking forward to the new beehive cluster hop profile in M-44. And that you’re confident they’re really poised to blow up the scene by the time they hit M-80.

Pretty good attempts, but you both forgot the part where he dislikes it because the ABV is not sub 6%.

Your comments explains it, so I appreciate it. My comment on the other hand came more from the general disliking of the line-up phenomena.

I’m annoyed that some of the same people who complain about releases and lines are the ones who contribute to it through their own actions. Pipeworks has been doing a great job with their releases, and discouraging lining up, but I see that too is going to come to an end. Im selfish and I’d like to see the line-ups go away. And so I hope breweries don’t announce releases of ‘special’ beers, or if they do that they make then available via random lottery.

But I’m just ranting at this point. Maybe I just don’t want those beers bad enough.

FWB pickup deadline is today. Surprised that they would tell people that they would sell those to the general public when they are promised to hold for FWB through today....

Extended/bottles not picked up due to the holidays? Maybe that’s the rationale?

This should not be happening. There are no guarantees that there will be leftover FWB bottles in the first place so I don’t know why this expectation would be created. The Dojo staff should not be promising anything, on any date, for any bottle. Today was the last day the FWB bottles were reserved. This does not mean any leftovers (supposing there are any) will be available next week. We’ve had a lot of staff out of town for the past several weeks so sounds like there’s some confusion amongst the ranks. If you made the trip today and waited because of something someone in the Dojo told you, please e-mail me shop @ pipeworksbrewing.com and we’ll figure something out. I apologize for the confusion. In the future we’ll make sure the Dojo staff stays on message.
