Dark horse BBA plead the 5th

BBPT5 was always released only at the 4 Elf party until last year. It was released into retail last year due to a higher amount of bottles and the 4 Elf party had a smaller than usual crowd due to really bad weather.

I can remember that Horrock's in Lansing had a pallet of BBPT5 at least five feet high shortly after the 4 Elf party. I suspect the bottles that hit retail, if any, will depend on the same two factors listed above.

 

Weather was pretty good last year I thought. I think bbpt5 saw shelves because there have become so many other good and obtainable stouts. I saw people picking up their beer the next morning only grab a couple four packs of plead despite having waited 6-8 hours in the cold. They came for the share and not much else.

 

Come on guys this is the place for an easy $4$ trade, why send this guy into the fb fray? This might be an easy one in any forum but the fb groups I’ve checked out seem entirely
shitlorded to an appalling degree.

 

No offense but you must not be trying very hard, it's always been an easy to trade for beer. I haven't been to 4Elf in a couple of years but 3 years ago the limit was 2 cases per person & then it would sit in the Dark Horse store for a couple of days after the party with a case limit

Mega Bev in Kzoo had many cases of 2017 as of 2 weeks ago

you might not have rejoined when they redid the trade thing. You don't currently show as a trader at all

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere in this thread yet, but Dark Horse did not release BA Pt5 at the Three Elf party. Instead they said it would be distributed in April. So don't be looking for it yet.

 

The "party", BB pt5 and dark horse have become a side note/afterthought to craft beer

 

They've certainly lost whatever level of luster they used to have.

 

Im guessing they tried the bb pt5 and it was junk so they are expediting and blending with their 2019 release to save face.
